People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

People are posting links to kids and those kids are getting abused in the comments. It will never settle down if ALL Gaf is interested in (and it clearly appears that way) is posting controversial streams. I don't think they'll ban The Spartan Show. They've already showed to be pretty innocent in their content, and it is (sort of) gaming related. Considering they were once on the front page of Twitch, had lots of exposure from Playstation and gaming media, it would be strange to ban them now.

They aren't doing anything but chatting with a bunch of shit lords. Twitch is gaming-focused, so why should twitch not ban them? Because they have "potential" for the lols or whatever the hell, right?

Look, it's clear from this thread that the majority of people just want to see people do dumb shit or commit deplorable acts. Most notably like the jackass who assaulted his wife for the enjoyment of the twitch, and I'm sure several NeoGAF members, as well. I've seen some gaffers already pop up in chat being just as awful and gross as the rest of those on chat.

Take that shit to ustream or whatever. Twitch is gaming-focused. Most of this has nothing to do with gaming AT ALL and most of these people have no interest in doing anything gaming-related with their streams.
 
Spartan Show is back, he even made an official banner with picture and phone number instead of the cardboard mirror handwriting.

Cool stuff, I seriously hope Twitch doesn't ban them.

Did these guys go out and buy that monitor/TV for their Twitch show? I really like how much they're trying to really get their show going, but also worried they might get a little too engrossed in it and spend too much time/money on the show and then it slowly dies away.

It's so weird to see people defending the non-gaming shit that some people are doing with this feature & the cess-pool it brings in regarding the chat stuff in twitch..nothing, NOTHING positive can come from it and it should be banned

that one dude ..spartan is at least keeping it tech savvy doing something with his Monitor..that is SORT of like what linus does so i see no problem there but still..yeah...anyways USTREAM allows for all of that.
 
uStream chat is kind of annoying, it posts a link at the end of every comment. The chat window is so tiny as it is, the URLs mean even less space for comments, kind of lame.
 
How about they patch in a non-gaming related streaming service... It'd give these people somewhere to go.

I'm not sure if Sony want to be associated with this, though.
 
I hope that Sony adds in YouTube streaming (and direct upload) to its Share functionality soon.

In regards to talkshows, as long as they are discussing (mostly) gaming-related stuff they should be allowed.

I don't think it was Sony's intention to give people a non-game related streaming platform in the first place. You can stream all PS4 games, so it's only natural that you can stream Playroom as well.

Hell, not even a Twitch chat room. Put a female on screen, turn off moderation (or make it impossible from the device that's streaming like it is on PS4) and see what happens. There's a reason many things opt for subscriber only chat.

If they didn't, dear god having Yoshida and the other dude call up the Spartan Show, tweet the link, and say it was great was probably the worst method of telling people they shouldn't do things like the Spartan Show. That makes about as much sense as a black person not wanting to hear racist comments, so they try to achieve it by going to a KKK convention. You've literally gone the worst possible route.
