Also, political correctness has gone too far. One small incident happens and a million mothers dial the governor and media stations demanding apologies. Oh, but it is completely O.K to dress little girls in skanky outfits and make them walk on runways.

I am just getting frustrated at how there is a dozen different organizations dedicated to censoring things that might offend people. I demand an R rating for Prometheus D:<

This M.I.A incident at the super bowl is the most recent example. Dancers in panties are doing pelvic thrusts, but no one minds that. The moment she flips the camera, all hell breaks loose.

I think this just shows that we are too sensitive about the wrong things. The focus needs to be shifted

Aren't you the guy that kicked some people out of your bike shop over some bullshit?

I stand by what I did, but at the same time I admit that back then I was too sensitive. I used to flip out over anything 'non-pc'. I cringe at some of the things I did.

Yup. Some call this getting "jaded." Others call it "growing the fuck up."

Congrats.

i know. people want an apology for every goddamn thing these days. even things that have nothing to do with you

At this point I'm not even sure I (or anyone) even know what 'politically correct' means? If it means not being racist, sexist or homophobic then I guess I'm politically correct?

Is this a secret GAF/older generation hating on the Non-GAF/younger generations thread?

If so count me in!

Hardly anybody that uses it knows what it means anymore.

That and White Knight.

it easy , Dancers in panties are doing pelvic thrusts = harmless fun . while flipping off milloins = RAAAAAGE, simple math.

Can someone please explain to me how Prometheus being PG-13 has anything to do with political correctness?

Also, rent is too damn high.

My buddy who works in a bike store in the U.S told me about his incident he had. He was showing a customer mountain bikes, when he mentioned this bike:

The Ibis Tranny

The customer burst out laughing, and told my friend:

"So it is a male or female bike, huehuehuehuehehehehe"

o_____o;

Completely agree.

An example:

One of my favorite past times used to be watching wrestling.

Now, I'm not one for blood and constant cursing, but I feel like the WWE just swung the pendulum in the other direction completely and sanitized the product, likely to get more children audience members.

What they don't know is that kids always watched wrestling when it was violent/racy/crazy, and it made them to watch it even more because it was "forbidden" and I'm guessing that this forbidden fruit mentality sold more merchandise as well, so the kids could "rebel" so to speak.

Now everyone is in a suit, the worst word they say is probably damn, which gets thrown around once a year. Everything (besides CM Punk) is bland and boring. And that's the whole thing about all this though, isn't it? When you sanitize and clean up everything about a prodcut, all you get is another boring, clean cut, run-of-the-mill thing like everyone else.

This is what struck me most about that affair and a point that isn't raised enough imo

*Nods in agreement*

I agree. I've been straight fucking with people my whole life. Now they are starting to cry. WTF!??

Stand up people. Give it back.

Comparatively speaking, people have become extremely desensitized to just about everything but a couple of things, and even then, most of the time it's a thousand people bitching about people bitching for every 1 person that is actually offended. Example: the stupid MIA middle finger. Or a more recent example: this thread.
