This has ruined my last few days and appetite. Someone in a group I am part of, posted a super disgusting pic of a pustule on their scalp, asking for diagnosis. The fuck man. That shit was straight out of last of us. It had a hole with good knows what growing things coming out of it. Straight up horror. And you are asking for diagnosis from the public? Like either go to doc right now or burn this shit down! The fuck are you waiting for?
Damn that super high resolution real life last of us pic. I haven't been able to eat properly in last couple of days. Stuff of nightmares.

Edit: On a more serious note I worked for a year as a nurses assistant, and ever since then people occasionally ask me medical questions that are way outside of what a nurses assistant would likely to know. Including stuff like "I got bit by a spider, here is what it looked like. It's pretty painful and it's swelling, should I go see a doctor?"


I think between the inconvenience, the expense, a lot of people would do anything to avoid a doctor's visit, especially if it turns out to be a problem that is going to go away on it's own or where you can figure out something without seeing a doctor.

Well then I really can't help you out. I don't know a lot about India.


What I can tell you is that most years I don't go to a doctor for any reason. I got used to not going when I felt sick because through most of my 20s I was either in college, not on my parents insurance, or a temp worker. A few times I thought I might be having a medical emergency and I basically just got drunk and rolled the dice on doing nothing and things worked out. At this point I'm used to not going to the doctor unless something is really urgent, even then I'm likely to just sit down and do nothing for a few hours and hope I start feeling normal.

I'm sorry but this is bullshit. Seeing a doctor via cash is not some hereculean task. If you have a serious issue pay the cash and see the doctor. Even if that is all you can do, it's better to be out of pocket with accurate information than hanging onto a 100 dollars with a hole in your head

I had a photo condemning American missile strikes in foreign countries appear in my feed. It still haunts me to this day. It was a photo of a man carrying his dead son (probably 6 or 7 years old)after a missile strike. Maybe that person’s reaching out for friends or someone to share with.
