Atlus has announced that wishlisting is now live for the upcoming Persona 4 remake, Persona 4 Revival, on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, following its Xbox availability.

It's also worth noting that the Steam page has confirmed the presence of the third-party DRM, Denuvo Anti-tamper. Further, the same page has stated language support in the following:

English
French
Italian
German
Spanish – Spain
Japanese
Korean
Polish
Portuguese – Brazil
Russian
Simplified Chinese
Spanish – Latin America
Thai
Traditional Chinese
Turkish

Audio will be available in English and Japanese.

Between denuvo and the stuttering issues in 3 that will probably continue to be an issue here, I guess this is a ps5 joint for me. Day 1 either way, though.

Business decision makes sense, otherwise they wouldn't use it. The game just needs to remain uncracked for the first week, I believe Sega removes DRM a year or so after the original release.
I don't think they do, Persona 5 still has Denuvo. It's also one of the very few recent games that crashed multiple times for me, causing the loss of significant progress given its saving system, not sure if Denuvo was involved in that.

Tbh, Sega probably wants to drop P3R and especially Metaphor first for the Switch 2 since it's a new IP. So I'm not sure if we'll see a Switch 2 announcement for P4R anytime soon. I could be wrong, ofc.
Their decision don't really make sense either way, like no Yakuza game on the Switch until late 2024, and then Yakuza 0 Director's Cut exclusive Switch 2 launch title, release Persona 3 P, 4 Golden, 5 Royal and then ignore P3 Reload, P4 remake and Metafor.

It's not like the JRPG fanbase is on other consoles

Huh, I bet it comes out in 2026!
The trailer and statements they've put out tell you that it's early. Like barely started early. And I don't think people realize how much Atlus is going to have to pour into this. It's going to be an even larger undertaking than P3R just because of the writing around Naoto and Kanji.

P4 is the only Persona game I've liked. The little of the remake that has been shown so far has been rough and it's hard to come to terms with some of the voice cast being replaced.

Ridiculous, so P6 must be 2028-2029 wtf
I suppose it's feasible that P4R could release late 2026/early 2027 and P6 release late 2027

But I don't think we've heard anything about P6 yet at all so it wouldn't surprise me to see it 2028
Some people complain about Denuvo but has it ever mattered?
I've literally never noticed whether my games had it or not
I've never noticed it, even years and years ago when it was much more clunky than it is now.

People hate it because of hearsay and rumors about its performance, or because they hate DRM in general.
We've had much worse in the past, but most people complaining now weren't alive back then.
