For most media purposes, Summer in Japan is July to September.
 
Yeah I won't get my hopes up for anything.

Theyre probably going to announce a prequel anime movie or shit like that that doesn't have anything to do with the game per se.

I personally never import games (besides Demon's Souls when they were so adamant it wasn't being released in EU) but...

...if this releases in NA without an EU release announcement, I'm importing so hard.

Unfortunately the Japanese HQ of Atlus gives no fucks, as we've seen with the trailers, missing E3, etc.

It's always been Japan first to them.
 
Whatever happens, think of us poor and desperate souls, Sega Europe. I'd import P5 from Japan, but my Japanese isn't good enough to survive levelling up S-Links and answering in-class questions/exams. Under my guiding hand, the P5 protagonist would end up as a complete dunce who had very quickly ostracised all of his friends.

I'll probably end up with a US import, argh.
 
All these expectations for a worldwide release...

They couldn't even get trailers released worldwide.

E3's trailer in 2 months time will be a localised version of the TGS trailer last year.

Does SMT4 Apocalypse even have a date yet? Lol.

Unless they pull off a miracle here, expect P5 in English by December earliest imo!

Bracing my body for 2017.

All kidding aside, Japan is getting it forsure this year but no way we get an NA release this year. Would so so love to be wrong.

definitely. I have more confidence in P5 than FFXV as a satisfying JRPG experience.
 
I'm expecting a countdown for a promo for a livestream I'll have to stay up until 5am for to get a JPN release date. I'm gonna love it all the same.

Atlus streams are something else. Last time people were "it's just goofing around for the first 20 hours lol" not bothering to tune in, and then the stream started and the first thing on the screen was the introduction of the new Velvet Room hosts.

All I want is an PC version announcement.

I can buy the PS4 later someday for Bloodborne but missing a game like Persona 5 would be really sad especially if it's not a paid exclusive.

If the PS3 version isn't coming to North America anymore, I don't even know.

Being delayed almost 2 years has killed off most of the hype, but if it ends up being passed over on the system I've kept around specifically for it and haven't upgraded to a PS4 because of I'll just be so sad.
 
I really dont like their stream, I personally am not much bothered by delay after delay but their stream rubs me the wrong way, feels so smug and diva.

Anyway, what can that realistically be since it's coming a month before e3? Hope they don't announce a trailer at a later date or a countdown. Release date before E3... Would be weird.
 
Been checking NeoGaf almost daily for news on Persona 5. I leave for a few hours, and now I hear this. I can only imagine two things. One, they announce a date for the Japanese date in 2016 and the English released gets boned and released in 2017. Or the game will just be release in both regions in 2017. Either way, the lack of news is really hurting this game.
 
Surely the Japanese/Western release dates won't be that far apart...the series has been gaining momentum over the past several years and is on the cusp of being something really big I think. Hope Atlus is smart enough to realize that.
 
Finally this should be the Japanese date. Can't wait. It's already a crowded rpg/action rpg summer with Ys in July, tales in August, and FFXV in September, but I say bring it on this summer as promised. I'll somehow get through all those games this summer. Oh so excited now for sure!
