Soulja Boy is that you?!

Even Souja Boy know how real Persona 5 gonna be

He was working on a follow-up to the wildly popular "Kiss Me Thru the Phone" with "Summon My Persona Thru the Phone" before he realized that the protagonist summoning his Persona through his phone was merely speculation. Too bad. Would have been a hit, no doubt!

That's certainly a sentence.

The 5pb. games must be MS doing something.

I dunno. I think they just have a thing for Xbox systems.

I still have to say, I'm still in sheer awe at how Atlus managed to absolutely nail this trailer. Just like the rest of the fandom, I had ridiculously high expectations for Persona 5 for it to measure up to P3 and P4 but I had faith. And then this trailer hits and just blows me away with how fantastic is it, it's like Hashino knew exactly what I wanted before I did. Hot damn.

Can we talk about how awesome the all-out attack sequence looks? Because it totally does. Feels straight out of a Trigger anime or something.

This game and Guilty Gear Xrd feels like the kind of art direction I wanted from Japanese games all along, but that we never really got during the last gen.

Yup, I haven't played any game since I saw this trailer, and don't want to play one either...

ATLUS better release this shit soon.

I said A tier not AAA. While I know they sound similar and I shouldn't have used the term what I really meant was that the quality of Persona was on par if not better than the big AAA franchises

Ah sorry, thought you were referencing the post you quoted.

I think it's safe to assume Persona Q release date gap as it has more dialogues than P4U and most likely P4D as well.

SMT IV had a lightning fast turn around (only two months from what I recall), and that game had a lot of dialogue in it. A similar turn around for Persona 5 should certainly be doable.

Well, to be fair, SMTIV also did not have that much voiced dialogue compared to modern Persona games.

Rewatching the trailer again and man, does the P5 protag makes Makoto and Yu look like squares. They're just so... plain in comparison.

It's a candidate for best trailer of 2015 so far.

The fact that it released on the same day as the Final Fantasy XV one and got a lot more discussion going everywhere seems to be a good indicator of that in terms of the bigger picture. Sure it got less views, but I don't see any breakdowns or analysis of the new FF trailer like I did yesterday and still do today for Persona 5.

The whole thing just emanates style. It shows a good portion of what you should expect, and still leaves room for a lot of things that we will have to see on our own, and I am perfectly okay with that. Honestly, I don't need any more trailers after seeing this one, I am ready to just get the game and unpack its content on my own.

I seriously had no idea.
But I don't really care for the game as much since I don't have a PS4, nor do I plan on getting one when it comes out next year.

Its on PS3 as well...but if you also have no interest in it there, then i guess its just your loss.

This game is gonna be awesome, and tons of people should get into it

*EDIT* Your talking about FF15?
Oh well, its gonna come out on XB1 and PC eventually too, so if you have one of those, it'll be accessible.

Of course i don't think FF15 was goingt o be as hype as Persona 5 was the past few days, everyone knew what FF15 was already, its been about 10 years of waiting now, i dont think people are excited as much as they just want the game to come out

I think that he is talking about FF XV here :P

And yet FFXV will outsell it 10 to 1.

Sad but true.

Maybe. Or maybe not as much as we think. Persona is becoming huge, this coming to the PS4 is opening a lot of doors for the series. We are going to receive a lot of newcomers to the series, and we should obviously do our best to not only help them, but guide them towards the other titles that are great too.

Does anyone else find the transition between the protagonist and Anne at 2:12 kind of odd since the camera skips forward a bit, unlike the transition from Anne to Ryuji.
It's almost like there's supposed to be more footage between the time the protagonist appears and the time Anne appears...

Sorry if I'm late to the game on this, I just noticed.

"Huge" is a bit of an overstatement. But i would like it to be open to more wide of an audience, and hopefully this goes to that level. If it seems the same amount as the youtube video right now (1.5 million) i think Atlus will be very happy. If something like Sniper Elite ghost warrior or(although it was decent) Lollipop chainsaw can sell over a million, there's nothing saying Persona 5 should not be able to.

I don't think comparing that footage to the reveal of Persona 5 is really fair.

The FFXV reveal trailer had 3 million views in three days. That's a more apt comparison.

I could use the game in my 360, I'm not ready to jump next gen and I don't have a PS3 anymore :(

Those 1.5 million views are probably only 15000 people having obsessively watched it an average of 100 times.

I mean, we all have, right?

Though P5 has the potential to be the most successful Persona yet, there's pretty much no chance of it beating FFXV's sales. Even with how many people were burnt by the XIII games, FF remains in a unique position in respect to global brand power for JRPGs.

Of course, I've long since made my choice regarding which one I'll be getting (no PS4 anyway, and I lost interest in FFXV a good while ago, so among the things that would motivate me get one, it's no longer among them).

I'm really curious just how much it's going to sell in Japan. This is a random question but does someone have a list of how much all the Persona games have sold, and a list of the 1 million sellers that were on PS3?
