Persona 5 New Trailer

Irritum is one I missed, nice catch. So seven deadly sins plus two words "Hollow" and "Void".
Yes, I wonder if there are 9 characters plus the cat, since he's represented with every word or the cat is one of 9 characters.
I wonder if it will have anything to do with the seven sins or the gates of hell. :/
Difficult to understand right now, but it's certainly possible. The character certainly feels guilty if you think about the fact that he seems so scared of being judged by people.

I wonder if we will get DLC Heists

Looks pretty great. Style never was the problem with Persona series for sure. Unfortunately I didn't see anything in the trailer that would convince me that they got the gameplay right this time around either. In any case I'll definitely buy it when it comes to PC.

Don't bet on this coming to PC. Atlus is a pretty small developer, and we don't know the shenanigans needed to get this game on PS4 as well (if there were any).

Expect stuff like FFXV, but not this.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and negative opinions are more than allowed, doesn't mean that drive-by hate 1 line posts should be respected just because.

Right, so ignore them. They don't require a response if they're not initiating a discussion.

Anywho. As I said in the community thread, I love rougish literature such as The Count of Monte Cristo and Arsene Lupin, so this looks absolutely up my alley. Can't get over how much the themes and visuals speak to me, despite being incredibly unexpected.

Trailer looks good. Curious if that was PS3 or PS4 version.

That art style gave me a serious Catherine vibe. Which is good because I loved the aesthetic there as well.

Gameplay looks a bit more involved than "run through this corridor".

And yes. Those menu transitions are ridiculous.

P3/P4 are pretty easy to break, but it still takes effort. I wouldn't mind P5 upping the ante or staying like 3/4, as long as it isn't a complete joke like, say, IS or SMTIV's late game.

What makes them worse than drive-by 1 line "I love it!" posts?

There's a lot of style on display, which is easy to admire. Someone thinking it looks stupid is a little harder to grasp.

You're more than welcome to respectfully engage. Ask for clarification. You may not tell them to "get the fuck out" and insult in other ways.
Fair enough.

It doesn't. "I love it" posts aren't creating conflict, however. That's how dissenting opinions work. The opposite works the same way - liking games with a negative consensus.

That looks amazing. Those menus for equipment and storefronts seem totally crazy. In a good way.

I wonder whether they started development on PS3... Some models looked kind of low key.

I hope this shows publishers all over the world your AAA game doesn't need FFXV level graphics and backgrounds with billions of polygons that demand 100's of artists for people to get hype over it. It's all about the proper art direction and presentation.

Hope the combat won't be turn based though.

I'm not really sure what to expect, but I do know that that was a great trailer.

This very well might be my first Persona game. It simply reeks of coolness...

I hope that was the ps3 version. My wallet can't handle buying a ps4.
I'd think so, as there was screen-tearing during that partner attack thing against the Sandman demons, but no screen-tearing during the rest of the video, so it wasn't the video itself.

It was always a PS3 title first.

I never understood the negotiation system. Always felt like I was just randomly choosing a dialogue option and hoping it was the right one.

Uh

I cetainly hope. The way it played out the identity crisis for the main characters and victims, I would not be surprise to see something similar along those lines with the main characters and victims of this crime drama. For exemple, the MC's sin could be something like greed or pride.

19 pages... for me.

Still the hype is real... especially for a niche title like Persona!! :D

And so i did. It is certain now that P5 will come out after dancing all night because of that mysterious pack in blu-ray thing.

Not in North America, it isn't. We have no idea what will happen here. It's possible we might not even get that special disc.

.......... Just no.
Oh! Why not? They are incredible even if they can slow down the battles a little, but I found them incredible in how deranged and funny some of the outcomes are...

But I guess not many people like how random some of the good choices in dialogue are, specially if you are new to the series.

Amazing trailer. My hype is at an all time high.

New MC looks like a real fucking badass. They really nailed his swift movements with the cape dashing behind him. Absolutely gorgeous looking game.

In a Persona game? You're going to be disappointed.

I get screen tearing from the youtube player itself sometimes so i only trust source videos or gamersyde for that.

I've been making my way through P4 Golden (my first persona game) and really like it. This one looks so damn cool though. I can't wait.

I just hope they get dungeons right this time around, i don't have any doubt on characters or ost disappoingting, battle system is fun, but they need to get them dungeons right.

Persona Q's last dungeon was great.

Don't expect this game to come to PC. The Persona team are (as far as I know) a consoles-exclusive studio. Also, I am pretty confident SCE helped them with the engine, the development and/or the funding of this game. So it will likely stay on Playstation too.

I love the use of both 3D models and illustrated styles to bookend animated transitions, keeping the stylized stills before an all out attack and rest-states for the menu animations.

Only thing I'm not super fond of is the cat woman cube I get from (who I'm presuming is) the female leads costume. Not my style but everything else has me hyped. Now all I need is a NA release date and I'll be set.
