I would be thrilled if there were only these four playable characters.
I know, right?
Bloodborne, MGSV, Persona 5...
But remember, Japan is dead.
How was the cast of P4 too big? It was perfect.
I doubt it honestly. I would not be surprise to see more and better than this.![]()
Honestly, I'd put the original release of Persona 3 as the easiest SMT game Atlus has released in America, out of PSX, PS2, DS, and 3DS.

What? No, no no ... DDS was bonkers regarding difficulty, I never finished it, because I sucked (at that time). Wheras I totally rocked P3 on normal.
I found it a bit too big. Its somehow sad that there is always a few guys left behind and then they are underleveled and you dont want to level them up.
I feel like the game would have been better without Youske and Teddie.
Did you play Persona 1 PSX? That was also pretty easy besides a potentially annoying final boss.
Eh, it was harder than
- Persona 4
- Digital Devil Saga
- Devil Summoner 2
- Persona Q
- SMT IV (past early game)
As in, these menus are really goddamn impressive. Other video games need to step up.I can't tell how this statement is actually supposed to be parsed.
Not necessarily since in Persona Q, for example, you have to boost at least 3 party members. This doesn't guarantee one though, it's just that 3 is the bare minimum. The more members that are in boost state by the end of the turn, the higher chance there is of an all-out attack!Looks like all out attacks are still there so I'm guessing the press turn "one more" system will still be there.

I would be very very disappointed.I would be thrilled if there were only these four playable characters.
So this may be my first ever Persona game...how much of my life will I invest in this game?
Oh crap, I just noticed this:

The phantom descends onto the city before the explosion shoots up. That could lend some credence to him becoming his persona.
It is great to see a developer who has the confidence to let the game itself do the talking rather than going on youtube constantly shouting buy our game or we stop making them.
Its funny how they learned from their mistakes.
Dungeons arent boring.
You have now more to do in dungeons (Stealth and stuff)
Smaller Cast
Interesting MC

Persona has always been SMT on training wheels.
I can't believe that Keiji Inafune really said that back then... some devs still care about the games we want to play.![]()
Always worth remembering that in most Persona/SMT games, the exp gains scale, so leveling up underleveled people isn't nearly as bad as it looks at first.
The bolded is actually the the only thing that I'm disappointed in so far and I hope there's more that haven't been shown yet. P4G probably did have a little bit too much going on but that gave it some replay value if you didn't have enough time to get everyone's backstory done in the first playthrough. If we only have 4 characters in the group and one is a cat I really hope the stories of characters not in the group will be a bit more fleshed out.
I bet the BDSM jail dungeon will be great.

God, I have watched this trailer like 10 times... this, FFXV and Xenoblade X make this year so awesome =D
*Edit:
Oops I see duckroll removed that post already
... in SMT IV (And the older Persona games that nobody, even Atlus, remember) you have Melee weapons and Guns, the Guns are mostly used to inflict status ailments or attack weak spots while the Melee weapons are for regular attacks...
Dude I'm playing DDS1 for the first time right now (late game, around level 62) and I found it to be quite easy compared to other SMT/Persona games. By which I don't mean to call it bad. You should definitely go back and attempt another run.
Sweet!! I have SMT IV on 3DS but haven't played it yet (and I loved Persona 4 Golden on Vita). Still stuck playing Pokemon Sapphire.![]()
Also they count as types of attacks, so you had enemies that would reflect sword attacks but die to gun attacks and etc.... in SMT IV (And the older Persona games that nobody, even Atlus, remember) you have Melee weapons and Guns, the Guns are mostly used to inflict status ailments or attack weak spots while the Melee weapons are for regular attacks...
It's not true anyway that they were pressured
