Persona 5 TGS trailer

...in like, 6 months.

Seriously though, cool trailer. So much going on in there.

Hashino says that at the moments, all the “parts” of Persona 5 have been assembled, and they’re currently tuning up the gameplay. In order to meet all the expectations from fans, the chief director and the others are focusing on making Persona 5 into a more complete game, so he asks if it’s okay to keep you guys waiting just a little longer.

On the subject of the trailer that was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2015, the part Hashino wanted to share most with everyone is about the concept of “stealing hearts,” which is done by sneaking into one’s heart in phantom thief-like fashion, which will be a focus in the game’s story.

Since Persona 5 is being developed for a new console, Hashino didn’t want to hold anything back and just make a short game, so instead, they’re packing the game with all kinds of content, and it’ll be the most voluminous title the series has yet to see as far as gameplay and play time goes.

More details including character profiles and other surprises for Persona 5 will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show in the following days.

In the pyramid scene you can see another person with them and I don't believe it's the blue haired guy.

It's him, he just changes his clothes when he summons his persona. That thing that looks like long hair is his collar.

Nana Mizuki in the cast. Nana Mizuki in the cast. Also Miyano, Sugita, Jouji Nakata etc. So, Atlus, will this be the time where everything changes and you'll start having JP voices avaible, as well? Like, make it DLC, I don't care, I'll buy it.

That was a blast. Love the atmosphere, love the character's performances, the cast is insanely good, love the mini-games. I want this game, badly. Even more so if somehow, for a miracle, we get the original voices. I didn't care much with P3 and P4, but here... lol.

Looks beyond amazing. Words can't describe my excitement for the game.

However, it goes to show that John Hardin knows as little as we do. I don't think he even knew it was delayed (from his tweets).

Regardless, my lesson was learned: I won't believe this game is coming out until I can preorder a special edition and it arrives at my door.

REJOICE!

Well, if Atlus USA leaves the Japanese dub. Don't care if it is DLC, I'll buy it.

Holy shit this looks incredible. The amount of work that looks to be put into this game is downright unbelievable. All the dungeons look unique in style and design from the movement across paintings to avoiding a boulder of death. The city looks alive as it is packed with people and details I wasn't expecting. There seems to be so much to do in this title that I honestly did not expect it to be looking this good. I can wait for this game.

Taking the final 5 seconds out of it, the trailer was just OUTSTANDING!! I love how they took the phone thing from Catherine and put it in Persona 5. Also glad to see a 5th potential party member, there were 5 chairs in the initial promo pics for the game so we may be looking at the full party at the moment.

The final segment with the piano and the epic scenes gave me super chills. Around 9-10 months left for this to hit Japan, hopefully not too much longer for the rest of the world (including Europe lol)

What, are they planning on making a 200-hour game?

can't believe how good this looks.. everything seems so polished..

but I'm so sad to see it was delayed, now to wait for at least a year to release, potentially more for the western release

by the way, is there a sub translated version of the game yet? I wan to know what they are saying

EDIT: trailer, I meant a sub translated trailer

i can't really be too sad about the delay, since I stopped believing in a 2015 release awhile ago. Make it worth the wait Atlus!

This looks like a physical attack combo skill, kind of like in Digital Devil Saga?

It's crazy how much there is going on in this trailer.

This is splendid news!

Loving the new teases of the extra cast members.

The persona designs are sick!

Looks like Social Links (lol, are they even a thing anymore?) are being separated from the Persona attaining process? THANK SCIENCE!

Will dissect later.

Great trailer, way too much dialogue though. I don't even feel like commenting much on it because of the goddamn delay mess. I'm over Atlus. I'll just ignore their bullshit until I get the game in my hands.

I don't this this'll catch on like PV01. That trailer had very little Japanese text and dialogue right at your face.

I hope we can get it dubbed or something. It's a pretty brilliant trailer although it's not universal.

I guess that's what I appreciated the most about PV01. You didn't have to know anything about the Persona games, it just sold to any stranger to the series almost immediately.

I hate to even ask for fear of getting murdered, but has there been any word/indication of Social Links being in this game?
I haven't been following this one very closely. I did see a menu screen and didn't see a Social Links section.

They're apparently going for a faithful rendition of (parts of) Tokyo with this game. Look how around 0:40, when the protagonist is walking around Shibuya station, there's a little icon for the Hachikô statue on the mini map. Could be a meeting spot for social links. At 1:23, he appears to be walking through Kabukichô. Check out the super seedy host on the left side of the road, lol.

They'll probably be back in one form or another, there's a point called "Cooperation" in the main menu that hints at a similar function.

Social Links are called Community in Japan, and there is a section in the camp screen titled "Cooperation". That might be our new SLink system.

First of all, I am not surprised that it is delayed. There was no way in hell it was coming this year, we still know so little about the game and haven't even had a single gameplay demo.

Second, one again Kaneko demons are back. I spotted Legion and Ganesha specifically, but I'm sure there were more I missed. There were three Legion shown as enemies. The part with Ganesha was most interesting though, as it showed him quickly then he disappeared into the mask and it said "Get Persona"
When I saw demons were in instead of "shadows" in the last trailer, I was excited as it looked like negotiation was back. With this "Get Persona" sequence, I think that is even more evidence toward negotiation being back in. I'm excited to see that it looks like acquiring Personas is a lot less, or not at all, related to social aspects or Social Links.

As someone that was frustrated with the direction P3 and P4 went, and the constant spinoffs of those games, this really gives me hope for this one. It looks like it might be more like P1 or P2.

Keep in mind though I say this as someone that prefers real SMT games, and P3 and P4 definitely were a far cry from that.

I'm really excited about the life simulation aspects of the game. Look at the mini-map of the various areas you can go to. It seems like there'll be even more things to do during the day.
