Persona 5 TGS trailer

Meguro's using the same set of sounds he used for P3 and P4. It's a bit disappointing.

The composition for some tracks is stellar, but the ending track immediately reminded me of Reverie from P4.

It's gonna be a heavily jazz-based soundtrack so I don't think the trailer music is indicative of the entire score.

Okay, that trailer has officially gotten me interested. Persona games are generally stand-alone stories, right? So I wouldn't need to play the other games to understand it?

Also any word on if the NA version will have dual audio or be English dub only? I remember hearing Atlus generally doesn't do dual audio in their releases

You can only differentiate so much with the same set of sounds. I remember a few posters and PersonaGAF talking about it then PV01 released, too.

Don't expect dual audio.

Play P4 and P3 as well. They're the only two Persona games.

Will the protagonist dude have a voice or some sort of personality? Or will it be a mute avatar once more?

He can be heard talking at the very start of the trailer during a cutscene. Combined with the voice actor he has, it's evident that the protagonist will have a voiced role compared to the mainly mute protagonists of previous games.

Every trailer so far has been excellent. The dungeons are looking better, too.

I don't mind the delay since I wouldn't have had time to play it this year, anyway.

The games are indeed stand alone. You'll only be missing out on minor references if you haven't touched the series before.

Not a fan of the busty blonde chick.

I think she'll be my most ignored social link.

Voice is super irritating too.

Sounds like he actually says a couple lines in the trailer, which is already more than either of the P3/P4 MCs.

This is such an amazing trailer. Not even mad anymore over 2016. Love the artstyle, love what we've seen from the gameplay, love the Persona designs. Summer 2016 can't come soon enough.

Looks absolutely amazing and then some. The extra wait has killed me though :(

I have a feeling they've overhauled some of the game design since the addition of the PS4 release.

Like perhaps the city wasn't so sprawling and seamless when it was a PS3 title?

Atlus knows how to cut trailers.

Damn straight. FFXV could really do with some massive well directed trailers.

Everything in this game looks absolutely amazing. The characters, the gameplay, the atmosphere...give it to meeee!!

...Don't tell me your feet still "skate" when walking.

The main guy walks like a fucking train. That's some speedy damn walking right there.

Yeah, that actually looked really weird.

I hope they tune the movement speeds and give us some good degrees of analog control, because this is the kind of game where you want to walk around, think about how you're spending your time and take in the environment.

A part of that dies for me when the controllable character power-walk-seizures everywhere and there's no way to walk (and animate) at the speed of a normal person.

The main character can look soo evil sometimes. As in magnificent bastard trope like Light from Death Note or Lelouch from Code Geass.

It's really jarring from his timid persona. I wonder if there's double personality going at all here. Like maybe his shadow self will be part of the story throughout the whole game. Appearing here and there talking with the protagonist.

Well they are going to a school for delinquents. He must have done something bad lol.

This game is already looking one-hundred times better than FFXV. For shame SE.

Oh I dunno. I try not to judge the quality of the game based solely on trailers.

- FFXV has been through development craziness and it's ATR aren't exactly helping, they kept us waiting for too long and have over saturated marketing with Duscae. Not smart.

- P5's sparse information and slow drip feed of trailers has proven to be an incredibly effective strategy for getting fan's excited. Incredibly smart. Between how both have been shown to public, Atlus' is killing it.

It's funny, to think that I've been waiting for both since high school, my interest in both haven't really changed - still incredibly hyped for both. Though I genuinely believed P5 would have been released as the PS3 swan song, much like P4, instead of dragging out from 2014 to Summer 2016.

Funny thing is, both of their voice actors are in the game. The protagonist IS actually voiced by Lelouch and Light's actor is voicing another one of the party members.

They definitely hired alot of big name voice actors for this game.

Oh maybe I misunderstood. I read somewhere a while back that they were going to like a prison school or something.

Oh, it's because of the name of the school. It's a wordplay on prison or something like that, but it's definitely a normal school.

MC probably is still a badass. ;)

Shame we won't get dual audio. I wonder why Atlus is so against the idea, especially when you have Tales of series doing dual audio.

There was a survey from Atlus USA about dual audio the other day. They want us to pay more for dual audio or something, on top of the Atlus tax.

Couldn't show restraint and watched the subbed trailer. The wait is excruciating.

Yeah, and also the chracters P4 from PS4 and P3 from PS3 are blurred out.

WHAT IS GOING ON?????

Anyone pointed out the two potential clubs yet from the trailer?
If it's not there for story reasons then there's going to be a symphonic band again and a volleyball club according to the banners that show up during the anime castle section.

Drakenguard 3 charged something like 5 bucks for it. If you want it and Atlus needs to recoup their cost, then we should be able to optionally buy it. There needs to be choice.
