Joking aside, I agree with you. We'l just have to wait and see if they made the right choice in keeping that structure for P4AU. Maybe they've learned something. However...

Well first he basically screamed "I am a giant homophobe" with Kanji. Then he blackmailed the girls into wearing swimsuits (which he bought, which is like creep factor x100). Then the game forced me to either agree with him (which I wouldn't) or make super assholish remarks against the girls (which I wouldn't do either) because reasons. That whole scene was really awful and just shouldn't have existed in the first place.
So screw Yosuke.
Interesting that the not-obvious playable character Rise is the one being shown off first, even by Famitsu, with all these leaks all over the place, yet no one's mentioned any Ken appearance even though he was the most obvious in comparison. I wonder if he's even in the latest issue of Famitsu.

Ken not being shown off isn't unexpected, to be honest. It'd be weird for them to blow their load this far away from release, especially in regards to an apparently much-desired character.
March 25 in Japan, so most likely sometime this Thursday for us.

And like I said, I could bet you right now that he's going to be shown off this Thursday/Friday, so I wouldn't say it'd be weird to show him off now at all.
Ken's the most popular Persona character worldwide, so I think it's appropriate to reveal him last. It would generate the most hype.

True. Ken's inclusion is going to set the world on fire, so I can only assume that they'll wait until the hype is at a fever pitch before revealing him and also revealing that he's Atlus' new mascot.

It'd be pretty great if P4AU linked to how the power of music can be used to dispatch Shadows in P4D. Also, I guess there should be more P4AU info incoming tomorrow via Famitsu, but there's also that "big" update that the site should be experiencing.
Guess it depends on when P5's out here, but assuming it's Q1 2015, we'd probably be somewhere around OT7 or OT8, going from past trends. Probably OT9 due to all the Persona stuff coming out this year.

The Japanese wording on the leak about the story structure gives me a faint glimmer of hope that they might actually change the way the story is told for Ultimax.

I'm no expert, but I'd interpret this as "The story mode will portray the story of each character from P3 and P4", which leaves me with the impression that the story mode simply touches upon the fate of all characters but doesn't necessarily give them seperate scenarios.

Yeah, that's also a possibility I've seen others post about relating to the wording. Too early to say either way, but here's to hoping.
Really anticipating tomorrow. I wonder if Rise and Ken are supposed to be arcade characters first or if they're going to make their debut in the console version.

When something IS canon, especially something reknowned for its quality like Persona has been, that seriousness is required. That's how it got so good instead of ending up wallowing in the gutter from its inception like so many lighter narratives in gaming.
Funnily enough, with the whimsical, playing loose-and-fast-with-the-narrative Q we're seeing the opposite: it's apparently not considered canon by Atlus, and others freak out.
I just expected better bouncing of personalities off of each other than what I got. It's character-driven, and with characters this strong, it shoulda been a slam-dunk. :\

Well, I don't think we truly know whether they consider it canon or not, but I agree with what you're saying. There's a distinct difference in tone between PQ and P4U, where the latter is meant to set up a cohesive, conclusive and elaborate story.

Yeah, I'm stickin' to my guns. Some of you guys take P4A waaaaaay too seriously from a narrative standpoint.
Is it difficult to accept that some people look for different things in different stories compared to you? I am not here saying that you don't take it seriously enough; it's natural that different people will interpret the story's goals differently.

I'll repeat what I said on Ultimax tho: It's disappointing that they're using the individual story route again, but it's hardly a dealbreaker just like how it wasn't in the original game. I'll still enjoy the writing.

Finished the S.link FM episode
To be honest, I didn't think i'd enjoy it due to the subject matter, but I actually ended up liking it a lot. The topics were enjoyable, and I liked how you could simultaneously praise SMT/Persona/Catherine and point out their flaws without going overboard in either direction. The guests panelists were fantastic, and I appreciated the synergy between Levito & Armada.
A great episode, all n' all.

I'm just hoping there isn't too much monologue this time around. That to me was a major problem with the writing in the game, there was way too much at some points, it wasn't bad in some places. But in others, I just wanted them to just hurry up, like did we really need to go in depth of what happens during P4 or P3 again. A good writer knows to give enough info to satisfy the viewer, but doesn't give them too much to overbear them.
