So, a male Rise?
Also, out of curiosity, is there anything about Jun you'd consider stereotypical? (Not Shadow Kanji levels, mind you, just questionable)
No, because
Rise tells you she loves you.
Everybody but Jun tells you how great a couple you and Jun make. The problem with Jun is he feels like the destined girlfriend character in a video game or movie whose only reason for being with the hero is because people say they should be together. I didn't think he and Jun had any chemistry, and I didn't even buy into the "Jun is our dear friend" stuff, for that matter. I felt too much was said about Jun being your friend and love interest, and not enough done to warrant it, as opposed to Eikichi, who does enough to warrant being Tatsuya's close friend, or Lisa, who proves her love for Tatsuya repeatedly.
As to finding anything stereotypical, I tend not to worry about that stuff in Persona games because I don't mind archetypes being employed if they're well executed. I didn't think he was a caricature of gay people (unless one wants to make a fuss about the flowers, I suppose, but I took that as more of the Tuxedo Mask variety) and more that I thought he was just like all those crummy girlfriends that have no chem with the hero.
Mind you, I'm not done with Eternal Punishment, so maybe now that both he and Tatsuya are characters there'll be something more substantial, there.
