Definitely a niche title, but I'm sure people are hyped. I hope it gets better and better for Peter's sake. It is only 20 people, so it probably has a ways to go.
 
Why does the name Albion seem soo familiar?

Also thoroughly scrub that EULA before agreeing, I can see this guy pulling some evil subversive shit here.

I was barely paying attention to the show by that point, but seeing a dismembered hand drag and drop shit made it feel like a mobile game advertisment lmfao

Its an alternative word used to refer to the British Isles. Been around since ancient times based on the Greek word.

Albion is also the older name for Britain, but yeah, I think they recognized it as a setting of Fable games
 
The gameplay looks really fun (to me), like a mix of B&W, Dungeon Keeper and Populous.....but it`s Molyneux and he literally hasn`t produced anything even half decent in more than a decade.
So I really hope it won`t suck, but it probably will.

Anyway this looks kind of fun, in a not full priced kind of way. Say what you want about Peter Molyneux he basically invented the genre and this is more the scale where he could make all the things he wants to happen in the game actually happen and it's scope doesn't sound unreasonable.
 
No one cares about God games anymore.

Peter should have stayed retired after that Rock Paper Shotgun interview from almost 10 years ago where he got called a habitual liar.

In fairness, he really didn't make any grandiose promises about this game at all.

But also in fairness the game looks incredibly mediocre.
 
Always interesting to see how much hate he gets, which is completely undeserved imo, I get that the younger (and I guess not so young these days) generation don't really understand how much of a pioneer he was back during the day, he defined the god genre, and headed up Bullfrog who released hit after hit of highly original IP, even Lionhead had a solid track record until Microsoft screwed them over with making Kinect titles then pulling the plug (the asshats!)

It's been 20 years and nobody has come close to replicating Dungeon Keeper, The Movies or Black and White, which is fucking nuts when you think that every single successfully genre has had 20 clones and copycats over the years, so the sort of stuff he put out wasn't easy to design to develop.

The problem since then seems to be he's not lost any of his ambition but has lost 90% of his game budget, so the last decade he's hyped up stuff which ends up to be a minimal viable product or something that could be put together on a budget. I love the look of this, but feel it's going to be the same.

It's a shame, if I was an investor I'd chuck money at the guy as he's proven he can deliver if given the right resources.

It's pretty annoying seeing the typical "bandwagon haters" spouting the oh so tiresome "Peter Molyneux is a liar" meme, which used to be super popular a long time ago.

All you ignorat haters should show some respect towards Mr. Molyneux. His legacy is impressive, and he's still one of the best video game designers ever. The whole overblown Fable marketing incident decades ago will never change this fact.
