Petition to make Ailynn a mod

I been diving into a bottle of JD this evening and it occurred to me that Ailynn would be a fine mod for Neogaf. I haven't read everything she's posted but from what I've seen she's a real nice lady who has more patience and kindness than most of us will ever have. It's For this reason I think she'd make a real good mod. I don't know how Evilore chooses his mods or what system is in place but I'd like to see Ailynn get an opportunity to become a mod.

I don't see why not. I'd have thought there'd be more support for the idea of nominating a member who would be a good mod but as you can see there are a couple of assholes on here who couldn't contain themselves.

Why would she be a good mod? Because she's nice? And I'm sure it actually takes work to be a mod.
 
Why would anyone want to be a mod? How could I constantly push peoples buttons if I represent the forum staff? It takes away anything or everything that motivates me to post here.

Fine for others I guess but not for me.

Calling people assholes probably isn't the best idea.

What's the point of making her a mod? Does she want to? Is it needed? If the answer to both those questions are yes then maybe she could become a mod, but certainly not just because you want to.

shes a great member, but would be a bad mod. your reasons stated are exactly why.
also, the stress wouldnt be worth it.
 
The promotion of prominent members to positions of authority was a significant factor in the temporary destruction of GAF. Mods should be kept independent from the community to ensure impartiality. Under no circumstance should a prominent member be promoted to a position of authority ever again. The purpose of mods is to ensure that the spirit of the TOS is being met, not to guide discussion itself.

Well, I thought so too. Unfortunately this thread got overrun by a couple of dumb assholes who couldn't contain their jealousy. I'd like to apologise to Ailynn for any embarrasment this thread might have caused her. I thought the community would have got behind the idea of nominating a valued member of Gaf to become a mod but obviously I was mistaken. Mods please delete thread and make Cunth a mod.

It really is true. You would have different mods who all had their favorite communities and their buddies which always overshadowed anything else. Then you had mods that started to really buy into their own character and then shit really went downhill fast.

I think the key to a good mod is selecting someone that doesn't necessarily want to be one and go out of there way to try attain that power.

I ain't seen her ever suggest she wanted to be a mod. I have seen her being very patient and kind to people who have been deliberately ignorant towards her and the people she represents. I think she would be a damn good mod, but as you can see the idea of nominating someone who has contributed a lot to this community has hurt the feelings of a couple of morons.. I'd like to apologise to AIlynn again for any embarrasment this thread might have caused her. It was not my intention.

Also I usually just see mods telling people to stop arguing so I don't see why she would want to be one. Do we need a rainbow of mod people? Do we have enough PoC's banning people?? #GAFModTeamSoWhite
