The quote on the rebate page about spending $20 is referring to the actual rebate. Meaning when they email you the rebate, you have to spend the whole $20 rebate at once.

Something's a little fishy here. They say you need a minimum cart value of $20 to get the rebate (excluding shipping or tax), yet Phantom Dust is $19.99. Sounds to me like you have to buy something else along with PD to get the cart value over $20.

They're talking about the rebate coupon: you'll have to use it all at once on an item that totals $20 or more. All you need to do to qualify for the rebate is order the game today.

Dunno what Majesco's policy is on replacements, but you can probably score an insert from them for $5 or so. Get the rebate and get a fresh sheet later. Still a great deal.

Don't know what I'd use the $20 credit on...I was thinking of Lumines but the coupon takes 4 weeks to send, and I want Lumines on day one. I guess I can do it on Wario Ware Twisted if it is indeed delayed

Well, I wasn't sure if I wanted to pick up Phantom Dust seeing how I'll only be playing it single player, but for $1.98 (shipping), I don't think I have any choice.

edit: DAMMIT! I forgot to use the free shipping code. Oh well.
 
woohoo, many thanks, robot. I'd planned on getting it anyways but this will make it essentially free. I'll use my $20 towards Still Life which should come out right around the time I get the coupon, I only hope Gamestop carries Still Life since it's not listed yet.

Has anyone's order shipped yet? This is my first time ordering from gamestop.com and it still has it under 'Un-shipped'. Don't know if I should bug them or something
 
Mine hasn't, no. This is the first time I've ordered from GameStop.com where they didn't ship the game as soon as they've got it, it's been listed as "Usually ships
in 24 hours" for over a day now.
 
Mine hasn't shipped either.

Most likely, I'll end up buying it at Best Buy this week and then returning the Gamestop one once it arrives.
 
Ok, mine is now under processing. But I'm impatient so I may use Minotauro's advice and grab the game tomorrow from EBgames or something, then return Gamestop's copy.
 
I got mine last night. Filled out the form, cut off the UPC. The Shipping List didn't show the date I placed the order, as the form requires, so I printed off the order status from GameStop.com and included that with everything else.

Haven't had time to play yet though :/
 
Could we get a title change on this thread? I missed it originally, and almost placed an order today, haha. (Granted I should pay attention to thread dates).
 
I got mine yesterday. Only problem is, the case is fucked up. One edge of it is all crushed and you can see inside the case. Since I already bought it instore and was planning on just keeping the free one wrapped anyway, now I have to grapple with exchanging it for a new one and still getting the rebate. ARGH.
 
i got mine yesterday.. perfect condition, but the rebate instructions tells you to send them the packing slip which shows the date of purchase (as either 3/8 or 3/9).

the packing slip doesn't show the date of purchase, though... only the ship date.

oh well, *fingers crossed*
 
Read BuddyC's post above. Like him, I plan on printing out the online invoice and sending it in along with the packing slip.
 
Received the game today and sent out the rebate form/UPC. First time doing a Gamestop mail-in coupon, so hopefully they're on the ball like EB has been with their coupon programs.

Looking forward to digging into the game when time frees up.

Reports at CAG say that the bar code contains info including the packing list date, so you shouldn't worry if the ship date is not 3/8-3/9

Just got my copy today and I am prepared to get my ass kicked tonight

Yes. I finally sent an e-mail about it and they responded saying it could take up to four weeks (but I got it the very next day).
 
You shouldn't have to hack anything. I've sent in rebate forms with photocopied UPCs just fine on numerous occasions. Most companies seem to be reasonable and really don't expect consumers to cut up their brand new products.
 
i got my rebate a couple days ago. someone else in irc did too...i think buddyc. now to find something to spend it on. i can't just get viewtiful joe 2, cos it's $19.99, which is less than $20. bastards.
