Phil Spencer on Bethesda IP exclusivity | Yahoo Finance

I dont see Microsoft releasing anything on PS5 without a damn good reason. but If the game has been out 6 months to a year on xbox, gamepass & PC and its been bled dry does it hurt or help Microsoft to dump whatever the game is on PS5 for full price and make whatever bank they can espescially for what they paid for Brthesda. they can have it both ways if they really want to

six months in from release, you'd be roasting to play the next elder scrolls. hell, even dlc will be still releasing.
twelve months in, where the next big game hits, you'll be fighting with your demons.
eighteen months in, where another great game releases, you'll be counting the money in your pocket,
twentyfour months in, another big game and you can stand it any more, etc etc
its a long-play scheme
they are trully the devil, just like bryan said earlier :messenger_beaming: :messenger_smiling_horns:

Bringing Bethesda Games to Xbox Game Pass
As we shared, Bethesda were early supporters of Xbox Game Pass, and we will be adding Bethesda's iconic franchises to Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. One of the things that has me most excited is seeing the roadmap with Bethesda's future games, coming to Xbox console and PC including Starfield, the highly anticipated, new space epic currently in development by Bethesda Game Studios and Doom Eternal, which is coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 1 and for PC later in 2020.
They dont use this language with Minecraft.

Any Exec's views/ideas can change at the drop of hat so it's not a good idea to believe everything someone like Spencer or Ryan say (after all, they still report to people above them).

But it's interesting to note that Spencer doesn't completely rule it out, instead it's left open, with "case by case basis".
Exactly. He's being very clever there. He knows a lot of these games will already have PS4/PS5 builds. Why waste all the dev time. They might release some of the games after 6 months or 1 year on PS platforms. Or the game might not have made bank and needs other platform sales etc.
