I was vacationing in Hudson, NY, where a friend lives. It's a small scenic town by the river valley. Recently it has become a hot spot for artsy, hip, rich people from the city.
It's not too far from NYC, and its very pretty and filled with antique shops...so all the artsy city folks just go down there for a few days to chill out. Because of all these recent vacationers, the small town of Hudson now bustles with small cafes, poetry clubs, open air concerts and what not...its very trendy.
So anyway, I was down there for a few days, I have been there many times before, but never really took pictures, this time I went around and took lots of pictures of Hudson and its surrounding scenic areas.
From my friend's balcony:
Another from the balcony:
In front of the house, sunset:
Sunrise from the balcony:
Forest canopy near Bish-Bash falls, yeah thats the name, or is it Bash-Bish? maybe Bash-Bush? :
The smoky area on the upper left was created by my cigarrette quite unintentionally, i blew the smoke and pressed the shutter, and the smoke was captured as the wind whisked it away.
The falls:
Nightfall in the hills:
It was getting lighter as the moon was rising. These were taken at very slow shutter speeds with large aperture settings, nighshots are very difficult. But i like how many of these came out, they captured the right ambiance.
An indie film was being shot in Kabir's (my friend) house, on the first floor. It's about a chinese immigrant family during the 50's. So they decorated the first floor likewise, we sneaked in during the night when the movie crew left and took pictures, here they are.
A car that was used for filming:
