First tragedy, then farce.
Obviously, some people here are from cities that everyone can easily recognize, but I allways enjoy seeing pictures of lesser known cities/places I have never heard of.

I'll start it in a second with the next post.

Austin TX - these are all either downtown or the West End

New World Headquarters for whole foods, should be done soon. I dont go here much, but Ive seen people dangling crystals over fruit to find the ones in 'balance' with the universe. Wierd.

Some Condo's going up.

WestEnd200409_63-vi.jpg

New City Hall, just about finished. Once the Bronze ages it should look really cool.

First, we have a new city hall? It looks awesome too.

Secondly, no oligatory shot of campus, or sixth street?
But good shot of Alamo drafthouse, if you got tickets to see the nonSinus guys not do a certain movie (for legal purposes), you are in for a treat.

Obligatory shot of UT.

That's an aerial picture of Fargo, ND. As you can see, it's flat.

FargoDome.jpg

There's the Fargodome. That's where the college plays football, and big concerts are. Holds like 24000 people.

...and that's really all the pictures I can find on Google... so maybe if I feel up to it I'll go take some pictures tonight. This place sucks, but there are some some cool things here, I'll get pics of that.

I was at the Drafthouse Downtown last night! With ConfusingJazz no less at the Mr. Sinus Surprise Showing. Mac and Me was awesome!

Well...ok. But it's a small place, so not many images are online. The only ones that are seem to be official, so obviously they try to get good ones. None of these show off the dump that is....Chorley!

Isn't it exciting! And classy, we can't forget classy. One paper once coined Chorley "the drugs capital of the North-West". Awwww, makes you proud.

Ålesund, on the western coast of Norway. Best known for its art nouveau architecture, for burning completely down in 1904, for shopping (shopping malls everywhere) and for fish. If you eat bacalao in Spain or salmon in Japan, it probably comes from here.

Sorry about the watermarks...

Taken from the top of a small mountain right in the middle of the city , looking west over the city "centre" and out to the North Sea.

This one is taken from the low, sloping mountain you see to the left of the centre of the first picture, looking north-east.

The main pedestrian street.

The canal that cuts through the city-centre, with the art-nouveau-museum to the left and Cavatelli, the best restaurant in town, to the right.

This one is taken by myself, on a barge directly to the right of the boats in the previous picture. This is where we enjoy our morning coffee :)

Kalmar - founded 1100 sometime. Its main period was between 1397 and 1523 during the Kalmar union.

Kalmar Castle, first founded in 1100, upgraded during 1500-1600 when it recived its now present look. Has served as the residence of King Gustav I, and his sons (Erik XIV, Johan III).

Aww, its my old shortcut that doesn't exist anymore because they decided to put in a pool.

And yes, Jester IS the ugliest building on earth.

Jester looks more like a prison then a dorm.

Some of you guys live in such gorgeous places, Ålesund, Kalmar (that castle is fucking awesome) and Vancouver in particular, makes me very jealous.

Except I'm moving to Vancouver in less than a month, so not so much.

I wanted to move there just HEARING it was pretty, but now seeing it... that cements it. As soon as I'm done with school.

After moving away from Vancouver, I'm beginning to miss it... a lot.

The pictures don't show all the gritty aspects though :p
