Not only that, we talking about freedom of fucking speech here and a perfectly legal demonstration. An America without the NRA, as corrupt as they really are (among others), is still an America with guns rights activists and organizations.

Was this picture taken in Prague by any chance? Cause I remember seeing a ton of them in that position when I visited. The first one I saw was definitely unnerving.

Edit: Same dude?

I had a professor tell me that the picture had to be altered somewhat. The girl in the picture was not nine, as generally reported, but thirteen and past puberty, so they had to give her a bit of a breast reduction. I haven't read this anywhere else, so I don't know if it's accurate or not. The professor who told me this is a history professor who has published on the Vietnam War. He's completely strait-laced and serious, not a kook or anything. Has anyone ever heard this before?

I call bullshit.

* ICP fan gets pregnant; doesn't realize it for the first six months of pregnancy.
* During those first six months, she continues drinking and using drugs.
* Not surprisingly, there are complications with the birth. Minutes after the child is born, she dies.
* Mom begins blaming the hospital for her child's death; she claims that they "murdered" the child.
* Parents feel that jeans and ICP hoodies are appropriate attire for their child's funeral.
* Shortly after burying her child, mom appears on the radio. She interrupts discussion about her child to complain about how the radio station hasn't been sending her ICP merchandise.
This is fucking depressing.

so I guess this is supposed to make me a vegetarian? I find it amusing when it states that if the majority of people slaughtered their own animals they would be vegetarians. Meat its meat and if you want to eat it, it requires the death of an animal. All carnivorous animals are this way. I do disagree with the way some of the people are "playing" at slaughtering the animals and some of the practices, simply because the way my family had always done it was a simple throat slit. They show the worst conditions possible to give that "shock" factor. But whatever, to each their own I guess, I'll just keep enjoying my roast chicken.

EDIT: You know whats weird... that some folks are more then willing to save a stray dog than they are to save a stray human being... now don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but it just seems silly.
I was taken to a slaughterhouse one day as a child... "if you're gonna eat meat, gotta be informed." The place we went slaughtered animals very humanely, particularly the cows, with a giant steel rod instantly piercing the brain. Less than a second of pain, and the animal was gone. It's a shock at first to see a cow instantly COLLAPSE DEAD, but just the first time.

But yeah, the car accident girl whose corpse became internet famous and a point of enjoyment for even a segment of our population is probably what disgusts me the most here.

The car crash images are surreal. The fact that the thought of the images was worse than actually seeing them sickens me :(

Fuck you, internet.

Does it require the torture of an animal? I mean, some of the people are just absolute monsters. That's sad, in of itself.

But the conditions of some of these places - I don't think the entire point of the documentary is to turn people into vegetarians. I think it's a look into how brutal the industry has become, how business has trumped ethics. That's the sad part.

God, right before bed. Thanks, fellas!
I stated in my OP that I disagreed with the treatment.

you can't blame the farmers though, this is a capitalistic society, so whatever makes the most money right? who cares if random cow number 103045 never got to see the sun, or run around, or do anything.

I sure as shit don't. But there's a competing market for meat from cows that are treated super nice before they get slaughtered, if that's a big deal to you. Costs quite a bit more per pound, too.

Times have changed.

I think that the overarching message here is that people manipulate their kids and use them for leverage in issues and topics that they have no way of fully understanding. That's what I got out of it anyway.

The girl in the car accident pics are bad, but there are worse ones on the net. I remember seeing a thread somewhere call "Most gory thread ever" or "Most graphic"

Something like that.

Lots of rescue crew pics...that site (should you look for it yourself) makes me never want to get in a car again.

I don't get what's bad about this.

Prosthetic parts for people.... how is that bad?
It's a layout for a human-like robot's facial mechanics. I'm not a big fan of robot overlords.

Yes, it consists of prosthetic parts. Nice one, I didn't realize that before.

Our neighbours are totally like this..

Their daughter is 18 or 19 and is pregnant. When entering their car, both, her and her mother smoke..

How does this make them the scum of the earth? I must be old but smoking is not the end all of bad shit and if you think it is you live a very sheltered life. My mother smoked when she was pregnant with me. She did cut down but I have no ill effects from it and neither does my brother.

Now the lady in the picture is an idiot for complaining about the noise but the smoking is her deal I wouldn't be so quick to judge. Some peoples lives are not so sparkling clean and friendly that they can be so fast to judge someone for something so small as smoking. At least shes not drinking in the picture.

Heres my input:

Whoever invented this lame horseshit is the reason I weep, for them and the people that think this shit is funny in any way.

um...have ya read up the associated complications caused by smoking during pregnancies? Giving birth to a child is already hard enough, but to risk the health of your baby when it is within your power to stop whatever it is you're doing and choosing to not quit is just...reckless.

She burned herself on an overturned hibachi.
That's what General William Westmoreland, US Army Chief of Staff, said.

Must have been talking about it right after a speech about "...if Vietnam falls, then the reds take Malasia, then they take X, Y, Z, etc."

War really makes me sick of humanity.
