Several years ago, a Muslim cleric in Australia publicly commented that western women displayed themselves like plates of meat.

He was, of course, referring to the modesty of traditional Islamic female garb, opposed to that of western women.

His comments caused national outrage, as he probably knew they would, but let's have a look at female fashion in the western world:

a. Dresses and skirts are so high that the genital area is only just covered;

b. In the case of jeans, they are worn so low that the pubic region is barely covered, and often so tight that the genitals are clearly outlined;

c. Tops are very low, barely covering the female breasts and are so tight as to leave nothing to the imagination;

d. Where dresses and skirts are patterned, the pattern often highlights the groin area; and

e. So called beach wear is so minute as to almost not cover the essentials.

Now, western men derive a great deal of entertainment from the above, but was the cleric wrong in his comments?

I don't think so, but do I want it to change? I don't know. I don't think so.

See the problem isn't whether women show more or less skin, but whether it's ok to judge them based on that.
So yeah the cleric is wrong, because if some women want to wear short skirts and low tops, it's perfectly fine. The outrage wasn't against his observation of fashion, but his analogy with "plates of meat".

Things sure have changed. We live in an era where 95/100 women are wearing leggings - completely skin tight pants that hug every crevice. I don't personally mind since I love looking at a woman's ass and thighs, but I feel for the boys in middle school.

Even just a nice pair of 90s jeans had me covering my pitched tent with a textbook. Young boys these days probably can't even learn long division anymore because ass and camel toes surround them all day long.

And then we can look at things like Reddit, snapchat, instagram, OnlyFans, sending nudes at an early age, ect. Girls these days have kinda devalued their nudity when it's everywhere at a moment's notice. I can't imagine being a freshman or sophomore in high school and not having to put months of work into just barely getting a girls's bra off. Now she's texting you her nudes right away.

It is correct that women attire has been on a change to cover less. It is incorrect that that changes they display themselves as a plate of meat for wearing their clothes. If you see them as that, the problem is your view of them, not their presentation of themselves.

Didn't native americans and indigenous cultures always wear less clothing??? When you're dark-skinned you need more sun to get enough vitamin D and back in the day they didn't have supplements people that wear too much clothing and stay indoors all the time I'd be wary of unless they're supplementing. Teens these days probably aren't as horny as we were back in the day and more effeminate/less interest in pursuing real women/low testosterone. Due to over exposure and lack of physical maintenance.

For better or worse who knows. Either way seeking friction is losing popularity leading to the rise of the e-girl/e-boy/e-trap industry.

General male physical and mental health needs much, much more attention. The trends are not good.
