Playable slice of Wolverine circulating online

Just what was needed, another thread from Wolverine
Russell Crowe Gladiator GIF

This obviously needs its own thread...Pretty awful for Insomniac honestly, feel really bad for them.

Crazy stuff....Maybe theres enough time for playstation blog to go back and include this build in their game of the year 2023 awards?

It means that the engine is ready... Now you can use gptchat to make better fanfics, without having to buy the game.

It's just some internal prototype demo/vertical slice. Nothing representative of the final or full game which doesn't even exist at this point.
Still it's unfortunate that developers at Insomniac have to see their work exposed like this. Security must be taken seriously.

Obviously not but that's a weird way to phrase it. "Fully playable" sounds like it's playable from start to finish.

So a game releasing in 2026 is playable from start to finish in 2023? What is Insomniac gonna do for the next 3 years?

Don't believe all the nonsense on twitter. Just PC pirates bragging they have the full game when it fact it is a bunch of playable demos.

At some point you wonder if Sony would have been better off paying the ransom
There is no point.
If you show that you are willing to pay ransom, more attack would ensue because hacking groups will know that you are willing to pay.

Also, there is no certainty that hackers would keep their promise and would not publish the leak anyway.

Other companies have paid these ransoms. There's absolutely no incentive for the hackers to lie and leak anyway.

I don't think companies pay them in general because the feds tell them not to, but I bet every single company that has dealt with this has thought that they should have just paid.

It does incentivize the hackers to do it to other companies, but they're going to do it anyway. That's not really Sonys problem.

Even if they paid, the ransomers could have released the leak to public. Ain't like they are going to be held to their word.
