He just clutched the most clutch win I've ever seen in duos after his teammate went down with 7 other players alive and almost no meds.

I put textures high and everything else very low and was getting 40-60 an sometimes 15-20..my gfx card pretty blah tho,a 960 gtx and i5 6600k processor..I did play my first solo game just now and got 6th...forgot the gun was on single shot and he got me..ohh well 2 kills aint bad
Play with sensitivity options if you haven't already, cranking them as low as you can.
Also, burst/auto fire only for CQB fights. Single-shot fire mode for all medium/long range fights. Also depends on the rifle... SCAR has like the worst kick so trying to use that without stocks, grips, or a compensator can be brutal.
And try to always use first-person ADS as much as you can over third-person ADS, even in CQB unless somebody really takes you by surprise. Comparison below:

I've been watching him play this a lot and yeah it's kinda ridiculous how good he can be lol. He also has 60k viewers atm!
I discovered him through KotK and I'm stoked that he's been loving PUBG a lot more otherwise he'd be playing nothing but CS:GO right now. lol
His channel just cracked 60,000 concurrent viewers, new record for a non-tourney stream.
PUBG in general was peaking between 140k-150k concurrent viewers on Twitch today. Peak of nearly 70,000 players on Steam already, 20k more than KotK had at peak in January 2017.
Exciting times. Stoked for Bluehole to finish up the PC version and introduce the BR genre to the untapped masses of console-only gamers.

Summit getting a bit irritated at all the donations coming in (56k viewers atm), distracting him and such. Ups the notification to $50 and still people continue to donate. Now about to turn of subscriber notifications because getting too many. Crazy the money he's making to the point where he's becoming so annoyed... wow.
But to his defense, he's been going strong all day and it would be pretty hard always having to acknowledge that stuff around the clock.

FINALLY! Playing with Crackbabyjr and he carried us to victory.
We were running along the coast to the safe zone and somehow I managed to fall into this hole. I tried jumping back out but the game thought I was in a free fall... so I bled out to zone damage and fall damage.
End up getting all this great gear, safe travel to the endgame zone, and somehow I fall into a tiny ass hole...

Tomat and me finally won a game feels so good!!
Well he's been reading every single donation for days and it's been raining so I get his frustration even if it seems silly as this game requires 100% focus especially for the top as as much as a wrong step or slight lag can drag you down a lot.
At the high end side a win grants very little but a loss is heavily penalizing.
Damn, now I feel bad that I didnt get the whatever edition like I was planning, with those prices I would have free game!
My friend and I played last night. We're not particularly good at these games but managed to crack top 20 and usually top 10 each round by existing only to hide in defensible positions and only move when required. We also make every effort to drop far away from other people and already have some predefined hiding spots on the map that we'll use if the plane at the beginning goes near enough to them. We used the same houses several times.
It's boring to some, but we capitalize on other peoples' desire to not be bored.

I did a couple of things, and get a somewhat consistent 60FPS now with settings on medium on my rig:
Core i5-2500k @ 4.5GHz
GTX 770
16GB DDR3
1. Turned off the iGPU render standby and mulit-monitor. I don't know if this actually did anything (even though I don't have monitors plugged into the onboard video), but I figured it was worth a try and it worked after I did it.
2. Turn my overclock back up to 4.5GHz (was at 4.2 before) and crank up the voltage to one I know is safe enough, but not optimal, just so it would run. I have a strong enough cooler so it won't fry my CPU.
I'll probably have to try to stability test my overclock later to lower the voltage, but for now, what I have works.
Edit: It does get somewhat inconsistent and stutters at some points (namely goes down to the 40s in the waiting area, and hiccups a bit during the freefall at the start, but then stabilizes), but otherwise it's much better and the game doesn't look completely terrible.
Also I got 10th in a solo round last night. I was so close to killing the guy that killed me. I hit him with a couple of shots.

I don't think you get anything special other than the discounted price and playing the game early.

The deluxe edition is no longer available and was a separate version exclusive to preordering. Early access owners turn into regular owners once it's "released".
Deluxe edition was basically the 29.99 game version but your game key also redeem ingame for a lootcrate with the items.
The game is fun but the way they jam everyone together in the pre-game area really makes the culture of this game (or these types of games in general) very apparent.
If voice chat is on, the pre-game area contains almost exclusively young male voices and most of them saying, at best, nonsense, and at worst racist/hateful/misogynistic/weird stuff. It's fucking unbearable.
I think I just don't like young men. I used to be with it then they changed what it was.
On the bright side, there have been a few cool people I've interacted with. That just happens to be the minority.

You can mute them in the settings
It's Twitch chat with guns. I think the best pre-game chat is when everyone thinks Summit is in the room.
Favorite encounter in the game so far is when I killed this dude during beta and he said "I bought a shitty H1Z1 clone!" I chatted with him for a minute and walked him through Steam refunds. He was thankful and we said our goodbyes. Just thought it was hilarious in contrast to the gunfight we were having earlier.

I believe CTRL-T will toggle global mute too.

Sometimes it's awful sometimes it's bizzarely hilarious.
Someone yesterday started singing Amazing Grace (really well actually), and by the time we were in the plane like the entire lobby was singing it together.
Voice chat is great in the actual match, though. I was alone and weaponless in a building last night and some guy drove up, and started walking around outside saying "I know you're in there. I'm gonna find youuuuuuuuu" and the like. It was hilarious. When his back was turned I ran outside to steal his car, got in, yelled "bye bitch!", drove about 20 feet and he lit me the fuck up and killed me as a drove away. Great moment.
Would be fine if you could mute individuals but thats somewhat hard with a 100 players lol
I would just mute the waiting room and the plane, then unmute as soon as I jump out.
The plane is the absolute worst with people shouting racial slurs and just being irritating in general.
Hard to have emergent moments like this that actually work when presumably a lot of people (like me) have turned it off directly because of the pre-game annoyance fuck.
I'm just guessing a large percentage of people join their first game, hear the absolute nonsense being shouted, and instantly look up how to mute voice chat.

As for voice chat I took the PC Gamer advice to heart and muted the lobby day 1. Haven't bothered to unmute since.

Yup that's basically what I do. The shortcut toggle makes it super easy.
I do hope they add some more weapons going forward. There's a good variety as it is but more couldn't hurt in each class. I've never seen a Tommy gun or SAW yet either
More guns will come and Tommy + SAW is crate drop only.
