Let us know how it does. I have the exact same problem you have. Seems like there are several aspects of skydiving in this game that I do not know about, so I just wait until most people have jumped off and then pick somewhere quiet to land because I can't compete with the fast jumpers.
Got to Top 10 for the first time last night. I'm not sure if I was just unlucky or I need to better memorize the weapon spawns, but I went until like top 30 with only a revolver and no bullets at all, I just couldn't find anything but weapon upgrades, it was intense as fuck running from fights like crazy. Got an amazing loot around top 30, and then made it to #8.

You can, for example, buy a bunch of CS GO keys with the money on the steam market, then sell them off at places like sourceop or similar.

Technically I suppose it's possible to do that but after 400 hours I've never had that bad of luck.

No use "memorizing" weapon spawns because they change
there are a few hot spots throughout the map (military base, school, zahrki...etc) where in a perfect scenario (you have free reign to casually loot) you're 100% guaranteed to just be really well kitted but there are no perfect scenarios in this game so don't play for that
much better to learn how to adapt to things quickly than have a specific game plan
didn't land at one of those places/aren't fully kitted and it's too late now? try to ttake a guess at where people are gonna be coming from in relation to where you're heading. Can you do some hail mary scavenging and looting? do you have enough to maybe ambush someone? etc etc
GMG discount voucher is your only hope for discounted BG atm.
There aren't exact weapon spawns to memorize but it's definitely necessary to know where loot will spawn at each location.
That's one thing I've noticed of new players that joined my group, they spend minutes in a place that I'd have looted in 30 seconds because they don't know where to look.

No idea why people pick up or use bright clothing, I just destroyed some guy because he was wearing what looked like a bright yellow trench coat, he stuck out like a sore thumb. I just spent £1 on the market to gear out my girl in full dark clothing.
Because the Valve would effectively be a bank and it would be subject to a whole bunch of different pieces of governance that come in to play when you can move money around. It becomes very complicated, legally.
It's also not to Valve's benefit to add in a way to take money out of their ecosystem.

Got a coat in one of my crates. Looks like Steam made it a pain in the ass to sell on the marketplace though. I set up my steam guard and set up the phone app, so if I'm reading it right, I just need to wait 7 days to sell it?

I'm definitely going to sell my stuff, it's just not knowing what's going to happen to prices when the crates stop becoming available next week. I have 5 other items I've unboxed listed for ~$180 all up right now, pretty stoked with the crates myself...
If there's a hold on your account and you have an expensive item to sell, I'd recommend selling something cheap first to lift the hold. Otherwise, you might screw yourself with price fluctuations a few days down the line. Once you sell that first item, you should be able to throw your expensive item up immediately with something more in line with the current price.

I've sold a lot of small items before with no hold. Cards and badge prizes.
I'll try it again. I read there's a seven day wait after authentication, and then the hold disappears. Not too sure about that though.

Also... twice in a row.
Both times I just got unlucky with circle placement and had to crawl my way to the next. First time someone tossed a grenade in my general direction and I popped up in a panic. 2nd time, someone just ran out of the circle to blast me, only to get killed himself. Boo hiss.

Time to cash in on the PUBG item market. Set up a site where people can bet on PUBG tournaments with their in-game items, call it PUBG-Lounge. After that set up a roulette style site so you don't have to wait on tournaments to win big! Call it PUBG-Roulette, PUBG-Bet, or any other similar name. Then finally take some proceeds and give them to top twitch streamers to bet on your site!
