Personally I didn't feel like it was that big of a difference in-game. Rather just use my sweet work boots.

Really stupid question, but how in the world are you supposed to activate bandages, etc on the inventory screen? Every time I've done it I feel it was through dumb luck.

I completely sucked tonight. My FPS went down a lot and I'm hitting a lot of people multiple times and instead of dying in the past they turn around an kill me. Not sure if it's my fps or desync or what but it's frustrating. Also getting a graphical glitch now when I ADS with a holo. Its a black square in the middle where the recital occasionally.

This has been a bug since last patch.

Just bought this then, looking forward to getting home and giving it a shot tonight. I've never played a game but I love the concept, I just hope being in Australia it's not too unbearably laggy.

Only played a couple of games but pre-patch and post-patch feels night and day.

  • Picking up items and inventory management feels much more smooth and responsive.
  • I got a solid boost of like 30-50 fps depending on the density of assets around me.
  • Game feels much more vibrant and alive with the increased foliage density.
  • Vector is my new bae. Shit just MELTS people, even with Lv2 gear.
  • Really loving the new crouch running. Animation is straight silk.
  • Not sure how I feel about the 2X scope yet... the green reticle feels weirdly low res to me and it's kinda bothersome. Still really nice for those slightly longer mid-range engagements where you don't have to worry about standing still to get that bit of extra zoom while holding your breath.
Can't wait for squad games this weekend!

Did optimization get worse? I was playing on all low and getting 60-70fps before. Just played some earlier with the same settings and getting 40
I had the same experience. If you're experiencing CPU bottlenecking, try setting your anti-aliasing to Ultra. You can leave all other settings on low or medium. Try this and see if your fps increases significantly.

I got this tip from someone on the PUBG forums, and they said it forces the game to utilize the GPU more.

It just shouldn't be a thing imo

I'm generally fine with it. It makes more sense than the frying pan anyway. They really just need to actually make going commando feet have some drawbacks like slower running speed, increased fall damage, begin to slowly take damage over time if you're sprinting nonstop for a certain duration, etc.

The real issue right now is that there's zero rationale to have any type of footwear equipped and that's where they jumped the gun on this feature.

God I hate how every small wall is just tall enough to not allow you to fire over it while crouched. Lost so many battles because my bullets were hitting the wall despite my sights being well above the edge, yet standing up makes you a giant target.

They should copy the cover mechanic from Far Cry 3/4. It would be perfect for this game.

This is too great. For the last two weeks I've been picking up frying pans and talking about ass armor and protecting my fine booty etc.

Now it actually does.

The performance is much improved in most general situations, but I've noticed the frame rate worsening in town areas. Or maybe it's the disparity in fps between nature and built up areas that's grown larger.

I'm constantly getting a crash that says I ran out of VRAM.

Same here, it's hilarious that they actually went and did it.

For people with VRAM issues, it is a client-side gap recognized by the devs and is one of their four major performance improvements expected in the near future: "Step 4: Decrease the usage rate of the video memory (ETA: TBD)"

To me it makes very little sense to add one thing without the other causing imbalances but at the same time cosmetic items shouldn't affect that at all.

I think it had a nice line between the simulation and arcade aspect and on one hand both this and the pan makes it more arcade while adding foot damage to attempt a balance put it weirdly over the simulation side, to me anyway. Not a fan of these two changes while the rest is great these are pretty major to me.

A passionate embrace, a beautiful memory lingers.
New patch is juicy. Got a first place on my first foray into a squad match with friends. Between that round and the next, I had 17 kills to my name. Porkchinki is the bees knees if you want in on that sauce right away

I had a weird situation yesterday..

Played Duo and we got some gear, went into a car and drove onto a hill into the (2nd or 3rd) cycle. Not completely on the fence but a bit deeper inside.
Suddenly all hell broke lose. There were at least 4-5 teams approaching the hill from different directions (all beneath us though), in cars, on foot, recognizing each other, starting to shoot and bringing grenades and stuff.

The last guy finally got us, but we were holding our ground quite well. It was awesome! Most of the time, we only see single teams or a few single guys in the end, since we are avoiding the big battles in the military bases or cities.

It was great to be a part of a big multi-front battle in the middle of nothing.

Can I solo queue into duo matchmaking? Do I randomly get assigned a teammate or is this not even possible? I'd check but I'm not at home...

Yeah you can queue into any of them, just be sure to uncheck the box at the bottom that would normally match you with other people.

Picking this game up today as it was payday yesterday. I've played 5 or so games solo because my friend game shared it with me. Are any good bits of advice I should know before I play? When I played solo I tended to loot everything and camp in buildings a lot. Only really dying because of janky fps (have since lowered all settings to low) or attempting to work out how to drive a jeep.

Omg I did it

Single fire m16/Scar-L and going prone as much as possible is the way to go. Hid in the bushes so many times.

The very last guy I killed had the drop on me, he had no armor on and was going in for a knife kill. I'm assuming it must have been some streamer who thought he was about to do something epic, but I heard him and blasted him before he could.

Managed to win my first game in squads two days ago by leaving my teammates to die. We were running from the ruins at water town to the circle, and my three squad mates decided to pause and look around for players on an exposed slope, I decided to run all the way up the hill. Two of them died there and then, one of them managed to get up to me, and get shot in the back. I turned around, killed that guy, then ran down the hill to the circle.

Turns out, two squads were duking it out. I'd been hearing a huge firefight for a while, and as i was running down the player count instantly dropped from 7 to 4. I saw a guy downed behind a rock, and his teammate came running over and started reviving him. I shot the reviving guy once and he died instantly, and his two downed teammates with him.

I wasn't expecting that win at all, but it was hilarious and amazing at the same time.

Also, this new patch is fucking awesome. I'm looking forward to this game's future!

I really wish that once the counter hit 99 that it would just go ahead and launch the game. I realize that's nitpicky but it can be frustrating waiting the full minute when everyone is already in

Suppressors are amazing. Last night, our full squad ended up winning the match with everyone still alive, in large part because of Demolito's silenced weapon. Towards the end of the match, we ended up skirting the river bottom as we traversed to each circle. There were 3 or 4 squads duking it out above, with the occasional fire fight aimed at us. Once we set up shop, Demo was able to flank around to the side and wipe out several of the remaining squads, with them having absolutely no idea where the shots were coming from.

This game.
