I deactivated my old one first and had no issues .

New one can only be activated as primary if you deactivate the other first.

Using the Pro, before transferring data it should ask which PS4 you want as your primary

Yeah, I'm not getting shit today. UPS just did a "Destination Scan" at 8PM for some reason (after it was already out for delivery) which definitely means it's at some UPS den somewhere. Good job. Thanks Amazon for never delivering with UPS and then picking this order to experiment with.

Been playing BF1 the whole day today and I have to say it looks and runs beautifully. Didnt notice any major framedrops in 64 player modes, which is a god send from the BF4 days. Im downloading ESO at the moment and i'll see how that runs tomorrow.

Here is mine:
Resolution: Automatic
RGB Range: Automatic
HDR: Automatic
Deep Color Output: Automatic

I am wondering if I should change to Full RGB Range?

Automatic is OK too, if your TV supports it, the PS4 will automatically go to RGB on non-HDR games and on YUV for HDR games.

Holy crap, PS4 Pro is a generational leap in my eyes. Don't let anyone tell you that this is some missable small step up. The image quality is to die for on my 4K HDR TV.

I'm even more excited now to see what Scorpio can bring to the table in a year's time.

No need to break anything, just use the second cord as is. The PS4 Pro does not have a ground pin so connection is not used.

Seem to be having trouble transferring data from my old PS4 to the Pro.

Both PS4's are hooked up to the same router but when I get to the end of the setup I get an error. Error code is NW-31175-7. Don't know whether it's a problem with PSN itself or a problem on my end.

Got my Pro this afternoon, left video settings on Automatic for now, everything seems to work fine so far. Played Ratchet & Clank and The Last of Us, while a few more games update.

R&C looks stunning with super sharp image quality, no jaggies at all and the colours look fantastic with HDR on.

TLoU also looks fantastic. I played with the Native 4k/30fps setting, as the shadows look a lot better without jaggies, again it looks super sharp and HDR gives it a much more natural look. TLoU has never looked better.

Will try some VR games later but I'm really impressed with the picture quality, its much sharper than standard PS4 at 1080p on my Sony KD-55X8509C.

I like the console a lot, its not much bigger than the original PS4 and its very quiet. The disc drive is the loudest bit but its no louder than the original, so not an issue. The USB on the back makes it look neater too, with the PSVR cable behind the console now.

Didn't bother swapping the HDD, far too much messing around and time wasted, will just uninstall older games when I finish with them or get a new 2tb HDD for Xmas.

You can't deactivate a PS4 console via website, sadly. At least not here in NA.

You need to have the PS4's connected together, one end of the ethernet cable in the old and the other in the Pro. No need for a router!

Went to BB at lunch and bought one. I had to ask if they had any and then he had to go in the back and get one. Got a free copy of Sausage Party on Blu-ray as well

Now to get home tonight and move my OG PS4 to the other room and get both of them set up.

I'm in the UK. I have an option for deactivate all on my SEN account. Just wanted to know is it best to log into my PS4 and do it manually

Tried that first but still got the same error.

The error code is about not being able to connect to the internet. Are you using wireless on the pro? If not, configure a wireless connevtion and try the transfer again.

Titanfall 2 looks a lot better. Image quality is nicely improved.

I agree. Looks great, and crystal clear. BF1 looks a bit better, too. Still isn't particularly fun, but looks a bit better.


Tomb Raider looks gorgeous in 4k, and you can really tell the difference when you switch between the 3 modes at the main menu. 4k is incredible.

Can't wait to try Dishonored 2.

Yes you can, you just have to deactivate all devices and you can only do it once every 6 months.

Ok... so I upgraded my PS4 to PS4 Pro... and I have Uncharted4, inFAMOUS, Bound, Knack, Rez Infinite, Robinson, Last of Us, Tumble, Vr Worlds...

I just played Robinson and I don't know how would have looked with a launxch PS4... but left me as if I keep playing woth my launch ps4... wich of the my games should I try to see some great improvement if I don't have a 4K tv?

Also, any word about The Division, Destiny, Battlefront, Bloodborne, The Order or KZ Shadow Fall getting pro updates?

Try booting in to safe mode. You can change resolution and such from there. Hope that fixes it.

If you leave it in automatic, I believe it will choose the best mode for the game (SDR or HDR). So for SDR it should use RGB, and HDR it should use YUV 4:2:2.

How sure are you of this automatic switching? Everyone seems confused in this thread.
Mine is on Automatic and Infamous First Light looked amazing in HDR and ran at 60 (or close to it) in the "Higher Framerate" mode.
