Someone else said you need to change the HDCP settings, that might work. I didnt have the same problem so I can't help that much, but try the HDCP settings.

Mine is as loud as my OG tbh
It doesn't really bother me as it's under the TV and my sound drowns it out but it's definitely noticeable

Is it possible to unplug everything from the original PS4 and then use all those same cords for the Pro?

Actually I have another Q: can the PRO HDD be used with the regular PS4?
So I just re downloaded Infamous First Light to try on the Pro with HDR and wow, absolutely stunning.
Installing Infinite Warfare to try the campaign out and think I'll buy ratchet and clank with it currently being on offer for £15 on the store.
More than happy with the purchase, can't complain at all.
As for sound, I only noticed it when IW was installing off disc, I'm virtually sat next to it at my desk and it hasn't distracted me at all.

Holy shit, switching from no HDR to HDR in the beautiful forrest section in TLoU makes a HUGE difference. Its like you're pulling a grey veil off of the screen.
Edit: Oh, they grey look just came from the TV switching the picture setting between HDR and no HDR input. The HDMI Blacklevel was set to normal, giving it this grey look. When set to low its much better. Still with HDR I get a much better look in very dark and very bright spots.
The difference between 1800p(60FPS) and 4k(30FPS) is minimal though. Even on my big 65" TV when I sit like 1.5-2 meters in front of it and switch between the different resolutions its not really very apparent.
But 1800p is pretty close to 4k, so thats not a big surprise.

What happens if I plug the PS Pro to my 1440p display? Will it use settings appropriate for 1080p displays or 4K displays? Can I choose? Some games apparently have different settings based on whether you have a 1080p display or 4K.

I just got mine today, it's my first PS4. I don't have anything to compare it to but Ratchet & Clank in 4K looks amaaaaazing.
Not the last time I checked, but it was on the "day one" patch list Sony put out, so it's definitely coming. Hopefully they found and fixed some of the obvious issues that plagued the original release and are just doing a late certification pass.
I tried also not to enable activation, still the same, my old ps4 working to prepare the files, then the network error, and old ps4 shutdowns. :/ Will try to connect through router (without WiFi), maybe this will work. Otherwise I have only 32GB stick for back, enough for saves but not for games, unfortunately.

Pre-ordered mine but couldn't be bothered to go and grab it after work today. Still need to make it not my primary and wipe it, but all my saves are onto the cloud. Any way I can just put MW:R on a hard drive and then put it back on to save me redownloading it as the download is fucking huge! I will reinstall all my other games it's just MW:R I care about!

Just got mine in, along with the 20 dollar copy of IW Legacy Edition from the GS glitch. Trying to restore from a backup and it's going to take all day =(

No, each PS4 uses an unique encryption key, so it wont work to swap the harddrive between two PS4s.
No, as the power cord is exactly the thing that has changed from the original version.

Is there enough space around your unit? The OG PS4 was quiet until a year of usage and then it started doing the Jet Engine. This was corrected in the CUCH 1200 series, wasn't it? As I had previously owned both the OG Launch day Unit and the CUCH1200 and I could tell the difference
Change "Automatic" to "HDCP 1.4 only" and that did it. Thanks a lot guys.
But wait, it says in the video output information, "Currently, this ps4 is set to use only HDCP 1.4. While using HDCP 1.4, applications that support 4k might not display in 4k"
I'm not sure what this means? Why would some 4k games display in 4k while others don't?
The ps4 also tells me that my tv does not support HDR but it does...

I'm bummed the code doesn't work for the digital version.
TF2 only has one Pro mode as far as I'm aware.
