Well, Geoff has been told announcements ahead of time before. Like I'm fairly sure he knew about the Portal 2 PS3 thing ahead of time back in 2010.

Or launch PS4 in various colors.
For once it would be nice to see a company follow through on all of the colors they flaunt at first and second reveals, instead of just giving us one or two colors at launch.
I really don't expect this time to be any different.

I wonder if they will trademark the name (and logo) this week or the next or if they will simply announce a code name and then reveal the real name at E3 like they did with PS Vita. Nothing's showing up on OHIM or USPTO anyway. I haven't checked JPO though (I find it hard to navigate), but I doubt there's anything interesting there.

It's not something that's a major focus during launch and is even less likely now in a time when launches aren't necessarily guaranteed huge sell-through , no one would want to hinder that more by having "electric neon yellow" sitting on shelves while the less wild colors are selling out during launch. Frankly we'll probably be lucky if we get 2 colors at or near launch.

New colors provide boosts in sales so no, I don't expect them to launch it with various colors.
Something like the Wii U black and white choices would be nice at the beginning thou.

As everyone here have said multiple times, PS Meetings have always been for new hardware like PS3 and Vita, not hardware revisions like PS3 Slim etc

Serously if this meeting was only to reveal a Vita revision, somebody like Yoshida would've tweeted a long time ago "don't get your hopes up" or something while everybody and their mothers believed they will show the PS4 at this event. PS4 announcement is 100% certain!

GT6,KZ4,new IPs from SSM,Sucker Punch,Evolution,Guerilla and Media Molecule along with generic third party announcements like COD,FIFA etc.
Such a thing of beauty. I've already pre-ordered. It looks pretty bad for some of the previously released Vita titles to see something like KZM accomplished on the same hardware. (You would think that if the Vita can do this that you'd be able to walk through a town in NLKS without having the Vita chug....but I still love that game)
I think Guerrilla will have something special ready for the PS4 launch (window).

no because they'll talk about sales and why the market is saturated and all for tablet and mobile's on the go games. we need it to be 3 hours. saving that for E3. Be like Microsoft with some live music.

That's a freaking Vita game.
I think this is absolutely amazing, and at the same time frightening. Amazing cause it's an absolute masterpiece of showcase for Vita but frightening because the gaming media is totally silent about this awesome game. Why is that? This is a title noteworthy of industry changing praise. It's truly a PS3 game in pocket format and no one seems to care about this in the media.
If i was a journalist i would praise the shit out of it and promote it on my site everyday.
Why this isn't happening is beyond me but i find myself starting to get paranoid and accepting the conspiracies about our gaming media.
They are skeptical since Resistance:BS initially looked good too.

I would like to apologize in advance for giving you nightmares. This was to make my point much more obvious and clear. Resistance was so utterly ugly in comparison that it died and went to hell but it wasn't welcomed there because of it's hideousness.
