How much was known about the Vita's games before they were unveiled at the 2011 PS Meeting? Did they manage to keep all of them (Uncharted, Wipeout etc.) under wraps before their unveiling?

You should watch the NGP reveal for an idea of what to expect. Though I'm expecting more first party game footage, rather than just some very quick demos and a sizzle real.

It was reported that Sony Bend were working on an Uncharted game for the Vita about a month or so before Playstation Meeting 2011.

I can't remember if the other games were known.

I'm wondering now if perhaps we may see something, if only a trailer, of Ready at Dawn's new IP.
It's been known for a while they are working on a next gen game.

Would be amazing to see a PS4 God of War (read: amazing action game) type game at launch.

Neither BLR or GopherD sound like bullshitters. Seems like there is enough ambiguity in GopherD's post where there could be some weird amount of RAM very nearly around 4 (more, presumably) yet not 8GB. 8GB of GDDR5 is never ever happening. So if that number is indeed significantly higher than 4GB it would have be something other than GDDR5. So that conclusion leads me to fucking nowhere.

People knew about Mortal Kombat but I don't think there were any leaked videos or screenshots before the event. The leaks were all about the hardware itself.

I'm all for Killzone and GT6 showcasing the hardware and being a great first year for PS4, but man, when was the last time Sony's WWS did anything in the RPG genre? The Legend of Dragoon? Really want to see there take on this genre. I know the traditional JRPG doesn't sell as well as it used to, but Skyrim Mass Effect do great numbers. Would really like to see what a team like Santa Monica or ND could do in this space, so yeah, bring on the new IP's...Show us what Gaikai is for, make another sleek looking platform. Release reasonably priced, but give hardcore guys a more expensive option. And bring the old Sony back, aggressive and all about the games.

Haven't been a Playstation fan since the PS2. But I' excited to watch the livestream. I think next-gen will be the generation I go back having a Playstation.

They are most definitely posting in good faith. Others... not so much. There needs to be a reckoning come final specs time -- sometimes you'd think damn near half of GAF were insiders. I get that we are all working with incomplete information -- but some people walked a very fine line between insider and opportunistic bullshitter.

Specs, release date, and price are all very unlikely. If specs are discussed they won't be in a meaningful manner. We'll get stuff like: "Using a powerful AMD GPU blah, blah, blah..."

soo.... slower than the 4GB GDDR5 that's the current standard rumor for PS4. (going by the full article saying 12.8 GB/s vs. what wiki is saying GDDR5 is.)

I know what you mean. From a personal point of view, I am so hyped up for this reveal that I'm hypersensitive. Take BruceLeeRoy's last reply to me. I'm wondering if it's a hint! (don't worry Bruce, I know its not)

Everything will hopefully calm down when the event is over and/or certain posters are more free to talk.

Just leave the Gametrailers link open on your desktop, or copy and paste the link from the OT into MS Word or something. Put your computer in 'sleep' mode and then click the link when you get in, it'll load the stream from the start - no spoilers. If you go on the net = instant spoilers.

No. I actually think someone is making that thread. It usually happens for E3 and whatnot. Just make the thread tomorrow. Bookmark it. And check nothing else (twitter, facebook, YT, gaming sites, GAF) until you've clicked that bookmark and watched the stream. I'm expecting things to leak tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. As the event approaches there are less consequences for leaks.
