The Plus games are going to be a blast to play through (always wanted to play Broken Age and Super Meat Boy alongside being interested in trying out the other Plus games), its going to be great diving into Legends 1 for my first time and beating some of my backlog.

And hopefully I will be working soon :D! Got interviews for a few jobs coming up (with me setting up a one with my local GameStop this Friday), so I will hopefully be working by the middle of the month :D!

Helping pay bills and college loans, getting games and saving money for a PS4; sounds like a plan to me XD!

Hope you guys dive into Legends 1 and get the game :).

Edit: Wow...that Wall of Shame is both nice and sad; I'm number one for the third month in a row :D....but man did the thread die-down in September :(.

Anyway probably going to end up getting Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax and if I'm lucky to have enough Dragon Quest Heroes.

Disgaea is the birthday gift I'm giving myself. Other than that, exchange rates are making it easy to self-control on such a packed month.

I guess a lot of us moved on to other forums or slowed down with their posting to play games.

Considering games like DR: Another Episode, MGSV and the like came out, I can't say I blame them XD!

I know I slowed down my posting too (was 200-300 post, now under 100 posts)....

And I was part of those graves man XD! My account got active again....Sept. 4th, so that's why I posted a lot this month. Otherwise, my post count will be very low.

Will re-post my thoughts on Legends 1 here in case you guys missed in in the Sept. Thread :).

After playing a good hour of Legends, I have to say, I am very impressed with the game :D!

The presentation is really damn impressive for the PS1; the character designs and models look fantastic and have a lot of style, the animations are lively and the facial expressions are way ahead of its times (compare this to Metal Gear Solid 1; night and day difference).

The music is catchy but the dungeon areas have a lot of ambiance instead of the up-beat tunes you expect out of most Mega Man games, but it works considering how you are supposed to feel un-ease with the locations you are in.

The gameplay is something that really impressed me honestly; for a series that had very strict 2D roots, they did a outstanding job working with the PS1 tech in creating a great game engine and strong core gameplay.

While you don't have analog control, you have two ways to move around; the D-Pad (or Left Stick on Vita) and L1/R1 (or Right Stick thanks to Vita). You can move in all eight directions with the D-Pad but you are always facing foward, with L1/R1 changing where you are looking. Then you have a lock on button with R2 (R on Vita) that locks in you place but you can look around and have better aiming.

This set up really impressed me, as it is far advanced than other games of that era....and this came out BEFORE games like Jet Force Gemini and Zelda OoT (both games that really took a lot from from Legends mechanics-wise) that introduced refinements and other gameplay ideas based on Legends ideas.

And the gameplay doesn't feel dated, even though its clearly rooted in the past where these systems never were really used before. Plus having custom controls on Vita/PS TV really helps things too :D.

The humor and charm of this game is very strong as well and while I'm not that far in, the VA so far has been very impressive and my experience with Tron Bone showed me how fun this world can become :).

I love this game and I am so happy I can FINALLY play it XD! Just a word of thought though; there is steep frame-rate drops during the Market section of the Island and if you set things to 'Fast Disk Read' the textures get all bugged-out.

Ha me too, already done with the first one and the anime, hope 2 maintains the same quality. This month is Paris Game Weak I hope Sony makes new Vita bundles or make the Blue Vita (or any of the new colors) available in Amazon so I can buy it from Mexico and finally get in on the Vita! Happy October Guys!

I need to hurry up and decide between Disgaea 5 or Tales of Zestiria. Been mulling it over for a while now.
Leaning more towards D5 I guess since I've already played like 7 or 8 Tales games just this year while trying to catch up with the series..

If I can finish Ys MoC before D5 is out then I'll get that I guess.

I was disappointed I got the Uncharted 10% off code the day after buying P4D, but then I realized I will need to get Wasteland 2 before long anyway.

Dragon Quest Heroes, Until Dawn and Nathan Drake Collection for me this month, pretty nice.
And I even managed to read few hours of Chapter 1 in Danganronpa 2, should really work on it, seems to get interesting now.

I was expecting a hit because of the aforementioned factors but still I'm still kinda surprised.

Also isn't EDF2 supposed to release this month?

Oh hi!

Uncharted, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and the PS+ games for me this month. Wasteland 2 and Divinity will be Christmas games, since the next two months are packed.

Plus there's that Game of the Month, too, need to get in on that soon...once I finish P4 Golden...

I hadn't realised that Dragon Quest Heroes was coming out this month. I might get that, even though I still need to actually play some Dragon Quest, as I've been feeling like playing a musou game. That awesome feeling from mowing down hordes of enemies. :p I wanted Orochi 3, but the physical version of the Ultimate edition seems to be PS4 only.

It's kinda funny how the classic MM games hold up visually better than many NES games, and the same seems true for Legends vs a lot of PS1 games.

They hold up so well due to one thing; the style and timeless feel of the gameplay.

The classic games are very close to what one would call 'perfect'; great visuals, tight controls and challenging level designs. This makes the games endlessly replayable for any generation, which explains why Capcom keeps re-releasing them on every console (recently with Legacy Collection on PS4/X1/PC).

The Legends series does this too, with gameplay that is simple (jumping and shooting with Zelda-esc dungeon exploration) but paired with good controls and a great art style that works with the PS1's limitations.

Capcom has always been smart with the construction of the MM series :).

I didn't know that there's a 10% discount for preorder. Hopefully in a year or two, the Uncharted Collection will fall from $60 to $12, just like The Last of Us.

What is Code Realize: Guardian of Rebirth and should I care about it? It sounds like I should care about it, but then I have this sneaking suspicion it's VN.

I should probably just google it, but i need to post in the new thread.

In other news, the plat for dt2 is taking forevvvvver. It's not hard, it's just there's a kill count trophy that isn't even halfway reached when the story is over. At least there's a massive amount of postgame content (and better dungeon design postgame, too).
