And out of nowhere - 3 awesome Vita localization announcements!
Happy Freeshikadelta day!

Most hyped for SoulSac Delta.

Here are the games on my Vita right now, by folder:

Vita Games:
MLB 14-The Show 14: physical
Killzone-Mercenary: physical
Persona 4-Golden: physical
Hot Shots Golf-World Invitational: digital
Strangers Wrath HD: digital
Fez: digital
Proteus: digital
TxK: digital

PSX:
Vagrant Story
Breath of Fire IV
Persona 2:Eternal Punishment
N20

Wipeout:
Wipeout PS1
Wipeout Pulse
Wipeout 2048: physical

PSP dungeon crawlers:
Unchained Blades
Elminage Original

I have a bunch of PS1 games not on here (since I don't feel like playing them now), and a couple of PSP and Vita games not on here either.

I have an 8GB card and I'm not interested in PsPlus right now since I have plenty to play as it is.

Honestly, I don't know how some of you guys have 32 GB cards and PsPlus and keep up with everything.
I accept I probably won't finish some of these games, but I will play through them enough to justify buying them.

I'm almost done with P4:G, and will put it away for awhile once I finish.

My go to digital game is surprisingly Hot Shots Golf.
If there was an activity log on Vita I would know for sure, but the ease of being able to play the game without devoting my full attention to it helps, I think. Easy to play while watching a tv show or something.

Bit the bullet and finally ordered a white Vita 2000 from Nippon-Yasan today. Was going to get a 64gb card as well but I can't exactly afford that at the moment... but soon enough one will be mine. ;)

A question for anyone who has used Nippon-Yasan before; how long should it take for them to ship out the unit? FedEx will take 2-3 days to get here they say and that's great, but I hope I'm not waiting another week for them to ship it out :/

you will be waiting a week for them to ship it

you should have bought it from amiami or somewhere else

Soul Sacrifice did better than any Vita released at the time and is one of the best selling Vita titles. It has way better sales than Tearaway also.

SSD sold about half of what the original release did in Japan. If SCE suspected the same would hold true in the west, they may have felt it wasn't worth their time to release a cart.

And you aren't wrong. People here have been crying getting it as DLC and they're likely getting that. Its likely not going to be full price also but if it is... thats very passive aggressive of them

GAF: I need your help. There Is a big Leo sale is on tomorrow. Keep in mind I LOVE Lego games and have every game released for PS4 and PS3. I also just got a Vita two weeks ago so all the vita games are new to me. Also, I've never seen a Lego game go on plus (NA or EU) so this might be the cheapest they go. I'm thinking about buying alot of vita lego games tomorrow unless someone can stop me. The vita list is here:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/04/14/playstation-plus-castle-of-illusion-free-for-members/

(I don't know why Lego Harry Potter years 5-7 is not a part of this deal)

That is just over $50 for 4 full vita games (still cheaper than a PS4 or PS3 game). Would you say that's worth it? What are the pros and cons of these versions? I would make a thread but I'm a junior member (can someone make an official lego sale thread for me so I can get the most impressions possible?). Thanks GAF.

Great day for Vita announcements. Hyped for FW in particular.

Now, when are we getting Type-0?
I'm almost sure #jrpgvita was about ToHR

#20V1T4 indeed.

Sony needs to tie game releases and playstation events into the calendar app on the Vita. AS SOON AS A GAME IS ANNOUNCED it should be in there.

Hey guys, any idea on how much the standalone Vita is going to cost?

I'm thinking $199- $40 (BL2) - $30 (8 Gb card) = $129, but that seems too low. Probably about $149?

It doesn't sound like Sony's going to be doing standalone Vitas anymore in North America.

I love how people were fretting over whether SSD would be localised and now that it's announced they're throwing the baby out with the bath water just because it's digital only.

I was at work until 9PM but when I saw the GAF frontpage with all the Vita announcements...

If they ever release it, I'd guess $169 or $179. Yes, I believe they'd be giving the game at a discount and the mem card for free on the bundle.

Freedom Wars makes me happy. Hopefully it's a retail title. My 64gb can't hold all these games (I'm 2gb away from max and yes I don't like deleting games)

128gb memory card pls.

Year of Vita

The black oled vita is so easy to find in comparison...can you hold off for a while?

hmm. hold off as in? hmm. the only reason why I would miss my White Vita is that... I've developed some sense of attachment for it after gaming on it for so long :/

so the White OLED Vita has become pretty rare? (but in Singapore people don't really care whether it's rare or not... OLED Vita does not change in price with the color)

and I have a feeling that I did not choose Dead Nation as my Welcome Back gift ><

Well all things considered Sony's stated that the majority of game purchases on the Vita are from digital so in the end I think the people who really want physical on it are in the minority.

Thanks for sharing! I enjoy reading how other people set up their Vita's

Also, I can entirely relate to you enjoyment of Hot Shots Golf. While I have not played it, I too enjoy mindless games that I can play while watching a sports game or TV show. Or even just while sitting around the house with my family.

Yeah and for them it's also counter intuitive. They don't release physical versions if it doesn't look financially viable to do so. Boycotting a title you really like and want just because it's digital-only does more harm than good.

Nice. Jealous of Metal Gear Solid and Wipeout Pure. Not sure why I can't play those on Vita in the US.

Yet we can't play MGS VR missions on vita, but you can. Seemingly random.

Btw, any ridiculous reasoning I can use to justify a vita 2000? They're about £120 here in Japan at the moment, I got my original vita at launch in Japan. So maybe the battery won't be holding as much charge? The OLED will be wearing out? I just bought a 64GB card so I need somewhere to put my 32GB?

If I use the same PSN account on two vitas, can I play online against myself? Eg if I give the old vita to my kids. Or is it better to use as a different account (US or JPN)? I could spend a fortune on JPN PSOne games...

Look, I'll probably buy it, its just me being uncomfortable about the big three and digital releases. I have like 300+ digital pc games spread out on 2-4 services, but I pretty much stopped buying ps3 psn games because I don't know if they will even exist a few years from now. Plus I do not own a big memory card for the vita. I don't really have that kind of money to blow on overpriced storage.

...Honestly, its not really that great to get all of the Lego games, as they aren't super great sadly :(.

Lego Batman 2 and Chima are up-ports of the 3ds version (which that was based off of the DS version) and play more like the Lego Star Wars games; levels with studs and other stuff to collect.

The rest of the Lego games (Hobbit, Lego Movie, Marvel) are all very different compared to the early Lego games, as they are isometric action games where you complete missions with X character throughout a limited story mode. I thought it looked fun with gameplay of Marvel and Lego Movie, but don't know about Lego Hobbit.

I personally think that 50 bucks your willing to spend on all these games is better used for something else, but out of all of the five games...Lego Batman 2 is the strongest. I own it, so I can give you a honest opinion on that, and the game even with it lacking the open world of the PS3 version, is a lot of fun :). Lots of characters to play as, the controls feeling great, the game itself (I believe) running in native res (though the cut-scenes are badly compressed), and a good amount to do when the game is done. I got it for five bucks during the Summer Sale last year, but at the discounted 12 something price, its far from a bad deal :).

In light of all these announcements, whatever happened to Gust's Chronos Materia? Wasn't it supposed to come out in September last year in Japan? There has been no update regarding the game ever since it was revealed.

Can we safely say it has been canned?

Never mind I can't calendar.

Yeah I can't find any new news on the game either. Website is still up though, and I don't see a release date listed on it.

As someone who refuses to spend more than $5-10 on a digital title, I understand that this isn't helpful behavior, but as a consumer I don't actually care about what's more financially viable for Sony, I just want to actually own my games, and when I buy digital, I feel like I don't- the memory on Vita being so limited and expensive doesn't help. I'd rather put that $40 on a product that I can hold in my hands, or into several indie projects- things from people who actually need support and aren't actually capable of physical releases, if a major publisher like Sony is looking to cut costs at my expense, that's fine- but I'm not going to pay physical prices for it.

And if everyone felt that way they would think we're not interested in the title anymore and probably would't localise further iterations.

It would have been far better that they didn't localised this at all.

Or at least release a english patch for my Japanese cart and put the online pass to bed so I can play it on my US account.

This would make my suffering go away.

I like this idea.
So you're more than happy just importing copies, why on earth do you care whether the localised version is digital or physical? If you're happy with your Japanese import, what is making you suffer?

The 2000 has better ergonomics, battery life, and does away with the proprietary charging cable.

As for your second question, you can't play online with the same ID. You can play adhoc (local) mulitplayer just fine, though.

It has online pass and I can't transfer my US save data.

2000 is a better machine overall. If you hold one in your hands you'll probably find justification enough to buy it haha. And those colours.

Then maybe you should consider switching over to a Japanese PSN from now on.

Unfortunately for you things don't revolve around you and your needs only.

Can I remoteplay with one, while playing online with the other? And how many vita games support adhoc vs online for multiplayer?
