PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

I don't really care if they port every Vita exclusive to other systems. It really doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of a game
Normally I would say you should care because losing exclusives = fewer reasons for a potential buyer on the edge to enter the Vita market = the overall health of the system drops, but the Vita's already too far gone for something like that to matter I'd imagine.

Sorry to hear that man, be careful pulling it apart as mine was stuck and I had to apply some force.

Thanks man. You know what bugs me the most? I suspect it's been that way since day one, but I never paid it any heed until I tried to play a game that depends heavily on control (FPS). Oh my aim moves to the bottom left corner on shooting segments in Danganronpa? I might have been touching the backscreen by mistake. Oh the cam spins around my character in Persona 4? Backscreen. Gomez keeps looking down in Fez? Backscreen.

I hope it can be fixed just by replacing the stick.

I wouldn't mind if at the same they were just not ignoring completely the platform from where they are porting.

Yeah, I would love more games on Vita, but that ship has sailed (outside of indies and niche japanese games).

Wow, yeah, that's pretty damn gross.

Top of page recommendation: Get Dangan Ronpa 2 on 2sday!
Join the 100ppp master race. Also, Danganronpa 2 launches on Friday in EU :(

If you get enough people who have a Vita, you won't need to beg anymore. That's the point of growing the number of people who own one...

So the problem is that the software is appealing but the device is not? That's what I get when I see people complaining and port begging.

If I'm wrong someone enlighten me xD

So Danganronpa is on sale right now, and I see a lot of recommendations in this thread for it. I guess it's finally time to see what the fuss is all about!

People just don't find Vita software appealing until they get ported to PS4.

I had the same issue in Dangan, but it's because of how I hold the Vita. Never had an issue in P4G though and haven't played Fez yet (backlog).

Make sure no water has touched your back touchscreen and that it's free of fingerprints (the oils in my skin sometimes set mine off after a lot of use). Also, a full power cycle wouldn't hurt to rule out any software errors.

Don't want you to buy a new Vita if that one can be fixed. ;)

The problem is that the Vita is not marketed/advertised well and therefore people outside hardcore gamers have no idea what's coming out for it or what's on the system.

If more people were shown what's on Vita (first hand would be best) and told about Vita, they would buy the Vita. Then the growth in ownership would entice studios into making more games for the system and so on.

That's how you grow a console's library when nobody knows about it; you tell them and show them, then they buy it, then the "voice" behind the Vita gets bigger, and we don't have to port beg because we'll be more likely to be considered for game releases.

I'm playing Danganronpa now. What is the point of gifts?
If I understand correctly, there is no point establishing relationships since everyone will be guilty at some point? I'm on chapter 2.

Basically is it something worth investing in? I'm not trying to 100% the game just trying to get thought it on a first play through.

I'm having a hard time trying to find Trigger Grips for the Vita here. Damn, I want to play as best as posible Borderlands 2, and probably will buy Killzone Mercenaries so is a must have.

Since my last question got buried, I'll ask again. Is Injustice and Batman Origins Blackgate worth in the PS Vita? I was planning on the PS3 version, but if the Vita one is good, then I'd may pick it there.

It's funny how the majority zeroed in on Vita games. It seems way more likely that it's a PS3 remaster, probably Uncharted 1+2+3.

You'll get abilities from building relationships that you can use during the class trial.

Ah well then. Is it possible to beat the game and get the good ending without heavily investing in gifts? It's not a huge deal, I just figure it will take up more time then is needed if I can avoid it. But I'll do it if I have to.

The job posting specified a AAA handheld game.

I literally didn't use a single skill throughout my entire playthrough. It's not required at all. Game only has 2 endings. If you pick the wrong one you'll see it and then you'll automatically be dropped off to the moment before you make the choice so don't sweat it.

Do I need to turn on remote play in order to do remote downloads from the PS website and such on my ps4?

I only ask because I'm having some network interference and might just turn remote play off so the ps4 stops broadcasting. I never use remote play But I still want remote downloads...

No, remote play has to do with the connection to other devices, not PSN store downloads.

Awesome thanks guys. I'll try to get this beat by Tuesday. I have all day and Monday off and I'm playing it for the rest of tonight.

I'm currently playing blitzball and totally enjoying it. Here's my current line-up with 6-7 games I played: Tidus, Wakka, Brother, Wedge, Ropp and Jumal. Is there someone who should I watch when he becomes a FA? Nimrook is the I'm waiting. Is there anything else?

Honestly, I got the sigil and all of Wakka's reels with the starting team + Tidus and Brother. After one season my guys had levelled up enough and just destroyed every other team. Though I absolutely hated blitzball, so I used the "score once quickly, then pass the ball back and wait behind your own goal" strategy. If you have the ball behind your goal no enemy player will ever come close enough to try to get it back (at least they didn't in the PS2 version). There are some ok FAs, but levelling up current characters is more than sufficient.

Anyone else unreasonably excited for MMX4?

Ive played it dozens of times but something about it being on fat OLED...

Yeah, it's actually kind of freaking me out. But Mega Man X is easily one of my favorite series ever and I didn't really get to enjoy the PSX games growing up.

Nimrook for sure. He's the only player on another team that I hate playing against... The guy plays out of his mind at keeper.
I mostly play to score though, and Tidus leveled up with the Jecht Shot is nigh untouchable (except for that Nimrook...). I'd like another solid defender, but other wise I just have all the original Aurochs and I picked up Zazi Guado too. He's pretty fast and has solid stats for such a low level.

Anybody know a great defender I should pick up?

Hmm, wonder why I waited so long to try the Project Diva f demo, I really enjoyed it. Definitely gonna pick up the full game when I clear a bit of the backlog. Been in the mood for a rhythm game recently but was turned off by touch controls, my main gripe with Theatrhythm. But they were pretty well done in the demo and I didn't have any issues with them.

Do the touch controls get much more prevalent in the main game? And big question, do you ever have to use the rear touch?

Reminds me of all the people who tell me they "don't need a PS3" but always seem to be saying "I'd get that if I had a PS3". /shrug I suspect there's a lot of cognitive biases involved in not buying the consoles of your unpreferred platform holder. Doubly so when sites love trashing the console

What's the easiest way to farm Magus' Testament (L) in SSD?
Forgotten Pacts (Black) > Cinder Gray > Combing in the Moonlight.
Bring 2 AI partners and kill yourself with blood offerings.

Touch controls (star notes) stay about the same in the full game. You never have to use the rear touch pad if you don't want to.

you left out the important information, equipping a resolute or otherwise he can just use feather and will be just as fast

Ok, i hope i can ask doubts about vita here.

Here goes,
I bought a vita today and it has a 4GB card and i have ordered a 16GB card (which will reach me next week). So if i link my main account to this 4GB card, Can i easily deactivate my account link to this 4GB memory card and link it to 16GB when it arrives next week?

I don't have much idea about vita and the vita jargon. If i am wrong, please explain.

don't worry - this is probably the safest haven for Vita and Vita owners
and get a 32GB at least

and you can link as many memory cards you want to the Vita

she gave birth to dusty 2

can you imagine

who's dusty 2? or what
