Ok so I must have too much free time, so about Mind=0 again.

Link to the page where the game is torn apart

Link to a random part of a Youtube let's play

I'm torn, I can stomach a lot, but fuck if this isn't a slowwwww combat presentation. Then again I'm not into Let's Play and don't read Japanese, so sometimes the person playing seems weird too. What's with the random stops in menus and strange way of exploring the level (his map exploration seems so random)..

I am seriously hoping they double back to working on another Grand Knights History and actually bring it over this time

Damnit what a missed opportunity. I am damn near positive an online multiplayer war game like that would have KILLED over here. Even if it was a PSP game running on the Vita

UGGHHHH

For sure, it was a fun game, and that online interaction was something fresh on the plataform at the time.
But they killed the online servers rather quickly, no?

Do we know if they're working on anything beyone the two last Muramasa dlcs?

I am pretty sure the online component and investment is what killed the motivation to bring it over.

They rightly figured Dragons Crown was more worth the effort. I just hope they revisit it for a proper sequel on Vita and give it a REAL go

That game had some FANTASTIC ideas and foundations along with the gorgeous art and animation.

I would hate to see that work lost without having the rest of us experience it. We really need a new Grand Knights History Campaign lol. I think I would be lucky to get 100 of us on board though.....

What's wrong with Dragon's Crown? :p

Dragon's Crown is not bad, but it's faaaaar from the memorable stuff that Vanillaware does.

Vanillaware is better at games that opens with "Once upon a time" and closes with "The End".

Grand Knights History was fun, but I don't really want another game that I can't fully play in the future.

I can understand that last sentiment...

One thing that GKH needed was local multiplayer options and more fleshed out Single Player campaign

Hence why i would love to see a more large scale sequel done.

Disagree about Dragons Crown. I think its a very memorable game that really just needed more content than it had.

Argh, started playing Totori and I'm really liking it so far. Ideally I would like to get the platinum trophy, but looking at a trophy guide was intimidating, so many points of no return to avoid and time limits for events to trigger. I would rather experience the game once through then do a second playthrough for trophies, is this game conducive to a second quicker playthrough? Like, skippable cutscenes and whatnot?

Also, am I the only one who only bothers with trophies at all if I plan to 100% the game? Never really cared about my PSN account level or anything, but I really like checking my list and seeing 100% next to a game knowing that was a game I really enjoyed enough to complete. Also why it really bothers me that DLC you don't own is included in a games completion%, damn OCD tendencies.

Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire remakes for Vita would be cool :)
I wonder what Vanillaware is doing - they finished DC and went into complete silence since then only doing some patches and 2 muramasa DLCs.

Hopefully we will see new annoucement at TGS this year.

I've never given a shit about trophies, but I don't see what's wrong with liking them. Sometimes it's fun to give yourself little arbitrary goals when playing, I just don't feel any obligation to fill in a checklist of someone else's.

Vanillaware's post launch support of DC is a major reason I like them.

Solid month. Already have Wolfenstein and Watch_Dogs on pre-order. Really want the God of War Vita collection as well, but may just wait for a bit of a price drop as I'm sure I'll be busy with other games.

Um, Dragon's Crown is easily the best game they've ever made. And I say this as a huge Odin Sphere fan.

I would argue that GKH has potential to be even bigger and better.

But yeah Dragons Crown is their best effort yet for sure. Still their games get limited quickly since all the art is tediously hand drawn and animated...

I thought Dragons Crown was a great Vanillaware game, I didn't have the same issues with it that I had with Odin Sphere. It was very well paced for a handheld game.

I think it would have been better off by Allowing Multiplayer from the start and separating the endgame content from the difficulty levels.

By that I mean not having to complete the game 3 times to unlock the Chaos Dungeon and not having the difficulties tiered up.

I mean it made sense and its basically the way Diablo does it... I dunno.

Wow, Murasma is gorgeous, easy to get into, and fun to play. I'm not usually one for explicitly Japanese games, but for free (well, £5.49), it's not bad at all. Is Everybody's Golf worth it if I don't have any interest in Golf...

yes. game is addicting. well made. great arcadey golf. have you ever played a golf game before?....i mean boiled down it is just golf, so maybe it isn't for you. But, I and some others here can't recc. it enough. It'd be good to hear what some of the other vitagaffers who aren't as addicted think of it. Pretty sure most love it, but it just becomes too hard where people just end up saying they suck at it. If you do play it and it does become too hard for you, you can change the difficulty (which is kinda hard to notice if unaware) which can really make the more difficult challenges enjoyable rather than hair pulling.

So I need to sell my Vita 1000 as I imported a 2000. Vita GAF, before I post in the BST thread, is this a fair deal?

- White Vita 1000 (excellent condition, screen is flawless)
- 32 GB memory card
- Vita charging stand.
- Assassin's Creed Liberation

All for $160, shipped, via USPS Priority Mail
That is a STEAL. I paid $200 for my
used!
White Vita alone, several months back. yea I may have gotten take for a ride a little bit, but it was worth it to me. I'd recommend what others have said, keep the 32, but I'd say that price is solid at 160.
Odin Sphere Remastered for Vita would be great.

So many games would have been #BestOnVita
Odin Sphere would be so bad ass. I bought it a long time ago, and never beat. I'd like to go back...but I lost where I was, and I'm at the point now where I'd rather restart the game :|

Plenty of games coming out. I need time, TONS of it, to be able to catch up on everything. Thank science I have the Vita to try to make up what I can, where I can...I wanted FFX Remaster to be my next buy, but the PSN sales of Murumasa, Vagrant Story, and more are calling my name. Probably should stop playing Hot Shots and Terraria at every chance I get, too..

I would also love to see their PS2 games get remakes on Vita

Vanillaware definitely likes having their games on the system and I hope it continues. They are so damn quiet between releases... They rarely do interviews and community updates outside of promotions in Japan...

Cannot wait to see what they have coming next

Weird, but as long as they keep doing what they do best, more power to them. All the money they get is well earned, imo. Hell I'll likely buy Murumasa regardless, even if I don't play it for months
which would be a travesty -_-
.
Is Everybody's Golf worth it if I don't have any interest in Golf...
Many years ago, I hated golf. I bought Everybody's Golf PSP (Hot Shots Open Tee for me) from reading about how fun it was. I was skeptical as heck. HECK I SAY. Now, I love the sport. It took the one of the most wildly unrealistic golf games for me to love everything about it. I played that HSG regularly until I got my Vita at launch, where I switched over to World Invitational (first game bought for this beautifu machine), which I have been so hung up on lately due to friends just buying it, daily tournaments, turn based multiplayer, and just the relaxing but challenging nature of the game. And then once you get the mechanics down; nailing chip in birdies, eagles, and that eventual Hole In One, you'll put the Cheshire Cat to shame with the grin you'll have plastered on your mug.

Not a bad haul!

As for superufo I got superscared while paying for the card. :( If i chose pay from website it took me to one paypal account to pay to and from order total email to another one. Also When I went to paypal there was no total amount and after confirming there came another form. Talk about bad UI.

Got a feeling it's going to be an expensive month in Vitatown. Definitely in for Borderlands 2, almost certainly going to triple-dip on GOW Collection. Picked up a 64GB card yesterday and Ragnarok Odyssey ACE today. Tempted by AC: Liberation. There's at least one new indie a week worth buying.

I'm going to need a second job to fund my habit.

I haven't been following the announcements around that and I was pretty confused when I listened to it. Is a FFX-3 confirmed?

I don't think so, but it would be a waste if they didn't. I mean, that awesome GAF thread about the audio transcript reveal was hilarious and WTF, but now that I listened, I found it way better than expected, and I'm hyped for a game with that premisse.

Chunami still sucks, though.

Can someone post a link to that whole FFX-3 audio thing ?

And on another note, I was wondering if there would be a way to organize some VitaGAF multiplayer thing. I mean I sure would like to play games with you.
I don't know, there is the HSG possibility, we can have a custom tourney in that right ? What other game would scratch this itch ?

we've done a few HSG tournys/ matches before....usually pretty fun.

can also do mon hunting, sonic racing, dragons crown

I used to completely ignore trophies, until I played a couple of games I really enjoyed and wanted to get the most bang for my buck. Some of these trophies are pretty pointless, but when they're legitimately tired to a skill element, then I start to get interested. Unfortunately, I tend to skip the gratuitous trophies and only complete the worthwhile ones which means I haven't platinumed a game yet.

Got Stick it to the Man downloading on my PS4, got Puppeteer downloading on my PS3, and got Rayman Origins downloading on my Vita.

Feels good man.

New thread! :O

Drifter looks awesome, but can we go only left and right? I don't see going up and down in the trailer...
Will buy Axiom Verge for sure, but what the hell, why all the other indies are not on Vita too? >:(
Well I guess that Vita will get expanded versions :)

Damn the second dungeon of Sorcery Saga is already kicking my ass lol, the very bad thing is that every time i died i have always kept my sword and shield that in the meantime become awesome, but the last time i lost them too(i was not cautious because i supposed that i would have kept them)! Now i'm really pissed.

Neptunia Rebirth 1 will come this summer retail in US, DD only in EU :(

I think I'm gonna buy Vagrant Story.

Yeah me either. I mean, if something has like a dozen trophies for some phoned-in multiplayer mode, you can forget it. I'm close on Tearaway I think, that's about it.

Yesterday I was looking for a cheap Rayman Legends, now it's on sale, but I also would like to play Child of Eden. I think I will have to flip a coin. Would Legends be enjoyable even if's only played in singleplayer?

could wake up the HSG tournament thread in gaming community. It's out now on PS+ for europe, and on sale in the US. Along with a bunch of new Vita owners it seems good timing.

okay sorry to ask this again
but what's the grip everyone using with their Vita?

I've heard HORI.. but any takes on grips with extra juice?

On BL2; I think pretty much everywhere has dropped it to £20. What's weird is we still don't have a definite release date in the UK yet; closest I can find is places listing it for the 23rd May.

So Jet Car Stunts might not be out on PS4 this month.

JET CAR STUNTS for PSN (PlayStation®3), Vita (PlayStation®Vita) and XBLA (Xbox360) will follow shortly thereafter [the steam release on May 8th]. JET CAR STUNTS is also planned for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One®.

Thanks for the link ! :)

Yeah the reason HSG came to mind immediately is because, well, by nature we won't give a shit about lag I suppose. That's the problem with Gaf, a lot of wonderful folks but with its international audience I assume it can become quite difficult to play together. Correct me if I'm wrong, evidently.

Lots of english screens for Neptunia Rebirth 1

It is a remake of the first one isn't it ?
Wonderful if that's the case, between this and the Atelier games the Vita allows me to catch-up on entire series I missed the first time around.

Do we have a release date yet ?

Edit - Fuck, it's already in my .ods file, the 06/03 it seems.

So I'm getting the new Vita on Tuesday. I have $6 to spend in my PSN wallet. I've wanted to play the Patapon games for forever. Should I go with the first or go with the second? I hear the second refined the first game a ton, but I was curious what everyone thought before I pull the trigger.
