Playstation Plus Thread 2: How do I hold all these games?

Always heard great things about Yakuza, but never played it. Does it play like GTA or is it different? Will surely try it (if, of course, it's available for NA too)

Its a lot closer to Shenmue than GTA and many see it as a spiritual successor.

Woot Rogue Legacy I hadn't picked up yet. Was actually planning on grabbing it soon.

Haven't paid much attention to Apotheon. I'll have to check it out and see how it looks.

Ha... yeah. Another game with beautiful narrative and concept. Fucking awful. What is the gaming industry coming to?

It's no wonder that people like Bastion and Transistor if that's all they want because yeah, they do both fucking brilliantly. I just don't think the gameplay in either title is up to much, and I need that as much as narrative and concept.

That's a very good list. I may own quite a few of them, but still, that is a great list for those that don't. Happy to pick up those that are new to me!

Aside from Thief, amazing month. Just booted up my PS3 to update and get it ready, and found out I still haven't finished Ni No Kuni, Vanquish, Dragon's Dogma and a few other games I got from Plus. My PS3 will work more than the PS4, apparently!

Yakuza4. Perhaps Sega starts research western market for physical release of Yakuza 5? Want to believe.
So all of you who don't play/haven't Y4. Download it.

I have Rogue Legacy and Transistor on PC but happy to play through both again.

Don't know much about the other games at all. Well, apart from that Thief was apparently terrible and that the Yakuza series is well beloved.

I don't care how unpopular my opinion is. I'm sick of these downloadable $10-$20 games they keep pumping out via plus, and I know I'm not the only one.

If you paid $17 for Rogue Legacy then you've been ripped off waaaaaay before now, like every time there's a Steam sale.

I dont have a decent pc

Nickfire then just dont resubscribe. Yes your opinion is terrible because those are amazing games, who the fuck cares if they are cheaper games.

You're not. I own just a PS Vita. We've gotten maybe two retail games in the past year. Of the indie titles, there's only been a handful I've wanted. Buying the games I wanted would have just been cheaper than having the subscription.

A little disappointed in 2/3 titles for PS4.

I have already played Transistor and bought it at full price. Great game...no idea WTF the story was about but it was fun to play and the art direction really nice to look at sometimes.

Rogue Legacy?!!?!?!? I'm a slightly older gamer, 29 and believe i remember the old school days but seriously I don't get these retro-crappy graphics types of games....if I really wanted to play a game like that i'd go to that dosbox website and play some random early 90s platformer with those graphics. I dont understand the hype for this game at all. Am I missing something?

Apotheon looks interesting, not the biggest fan of side-scrollers but the art direction is interesting enough for me to enjoy this game

Overall a little disappointed, solid month if you have none of these games? Sure. OMG AMAZING MONTH WOOHOO? Definitely not.

I can't be the only one who thinks this.

Hey man, can you point out which games from the early 80s have graphics as good as Rogue Legacy? I'm pretty interested to see them.

I think his point still stands.

Mixture of fps, rts, sidescrollers, and platformers from the early 90s:

If you want to tell me about the gameplay or that the game is fun despite the graphics or that the retro graphics add something positive then I'm listening, but don't waste my time by asking me a stupid question like "how does this game look like early 90s pc games??" I'm not blind dude, and neither are you.

Play Rogue Legacy before making such drastic opinions please. I bought it on PC and for my Vita, worth every penny.

So what makes the gameplay different from other similar titles? Not trying to be difficult, just genuinely curious.

There really are no titles which are similar to RL, imo. It's an interesting genre mix that isn't perfect but does some very neat and unique things.

How about you try it yourself before you form an opinion based only on the graphics?
