PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

Heh, I just renewed my Plus today (was expiring today actually) due to Amazon credit.

Originally, it was supposed to expire in February but thanks to free plus vouchers from Sony, it made it all the way to today - which I then decided to renew once more.
 
So apparently, Europe are getting Vanquish and Limbo next month.

Treat it as a rumour for now. Apparently they were on an advert in Empire mag

Personally not a big fan of Limbo (in fact, i thought it was terrible) but a lot of people love it so seems like a good thing to give away.

Never played Vanquish so happy with that

Neat, I wanted to get Vanquish eventually so that is good for me, and Limbo was disappointing but an alright game, very much style over substance, I can't argue with "free" though.

So it will be these two and a "AAA Action/Adventure" game of the month for December then? I hope it isn't a Sony game, so Uncharted or GoE or something, I already own all of those, lol.

If true, it's great news.

I was tempted to get Vanquish for 15€ on the PS Store and already have Limbo on PC but I will play it on the PS3 for sure. :)
 
I played Limbo once, it was the demo version, and I didn't like it. But for free I'll give it a second chance.

Vanquish is one of the best, if not the best TPS of this generation. Platinum <3

I can agree with this. In general I don't like how TPS feel but vanquish was actually a blast to play.

That being said I hope NA doesn't get it as I already own it, and while it would be nice for people who don't own it to play that overlooked game, I would rather get games I don't own :P

it's the same ones over again... they just looped the covers... (slightly out of order though: crysis 2, re5, motorstorm, vanquish, LBP, cubix, etc)
 
So I just joined last night. Does this automatic download thing means my PS3 will turn on by itself and download demos/games/updates without me doing anything?

With proper settings, yeah. I'm not entirely sure on every little thing it downloads but I have that feature off.

Yes. You can tick boxes to tell it what you want it to do when it turns itself on (upload saves, sync saves etc), and set a time for it to do it. It'll turn itself on, do what you tell it, and then turn itself off

Neat

That's a great option to have when I have to download 200gb worth of stuff all over again.
 
From reading about it, sounds like this is an incredible value for us late adopters, especially.

My PS3 should arrive today from Amazon, so I'm looking forward to signing up and starting some games downloading overnight (will get RE 5, LBP 2, Double Dragon Neon, and Scott Pilgrim for sure).
 
That Vanquish/Limbo ad is Euro PS+. Weak.


I'd love those two, also Bulletstorm.

Still, after Black Friday, I have entirely too many games to play, hopefully those games make it stateside after the new year.
 
Dang Europe, nice (again)! I only played through Vanquish once on a rental, so I wouldn't mind if we got that in NA.

And I sure am glad I never actually bought RE5. How the heck did they screw up everything that made 4 so good? It's just.... ugh.
 
Niiice. Rented Vanquish a while ago but didn't finish it through. Just finished Crysis 2, am stuck with low ammo at the Dead Space 2 final boss and half way through Scott Pilgrimm and Motorstorm. Started Bulletstorm but the german version is a joke like no other. All stuff/gore is censored.
Fuck this, to little time for to many games. Next BF3 dlc is around the corner.
Because of this is just avoided the steam autumn sale.
 
I haven't even started October's games yet, let alone Novembers. Fucking Decembers will be here soon

Being crushed under my backlog
