So it looks like the JP Store is giving away 7 day PS+ trials.
Their game collection is pretty crummy so it might not be worth it for some, but if you're interested you'll need to make a JP account if you don't have one. After registration it should take you to the PS+ section on the PS Store where you can select the 7 day trial. If you already have a JP account you can just launch the PS Store, scroll down the left hand side and select the PS Plus section, select the first item for subscription options, and select the first item again for the free 7 day offer. No credit card info is required and automatic renewal is not enabled for the trial. I have no idea if the content remains in Japanese when switching accounts.

hmmmm when does a ps + account expire? on the exact day it was started or at the start of the month, think mines expiring next month 
or if i got the date wrong, when did the huge discount glitch of the 12 month PS+ cards at target happen?
just downloaded wipeout 2048 for vita and its a great title and would have missed if i didn't have ps+

I hope this puts pressure on Microsoft to do the same shit on the 360. I've been a gold sub for 9 years now, but the value in the PS+ makes Microsoft look like stingy assholes. Good on you, Sony.
30 days after you activate it. You can check the date by going to the SEN site and looking at the expiration date for any of your PS+ games. They won't. Last time they gave away a game without trophies (Saints Row 2) they had a shit ton of complaints. SCEE said they would try to only put up games that have trophies.

Honestly, if putting out achievement patches for some of these older games -- Resistance, Ratchet and Clank: Future Tools of Destrucion, Valkyria Chronicles, et al -- is a problem, Sony should just put out digital releases on PSN with trophies for $20 bucks, but also make them day 1 on Plus. Great way to entice people to hop on over and give the service a try, but better yet; it's a great way to make me happy!

It has been on my shelf for about a year. I just started playing it and have cleared the first two acts. I'm enjoying it quite a lot, but the story isn't hooking and it is starting to feel samey.
Should I soldier on because the best is yet to come or bail out to my backlog because I have got the gist of it?

Yes, a few games will be rotated every month. My guess would be 1 PSP game & 1 PSN game every month and every few months a retail game as well.

jut read that article.. I predicted Batman last month (when the blog hinted at an AAA game).. but I´m still not 100% sure.. the italian site you link to does not mention any other games (especially not o Vita), so my guess is that they are guessing like we are..!

Seconded, for me as a casual gamer it is a huge money saver. Will finish my backlog of last 2 disc games soon and then there is enough on PS+ to keep me busy for a long time, especially with PS Vita stuff too.
