Bioshock 2 is great, I'm only slightly miffed because I've owned the $100 sucker edition since the game came out. :P Would have rather have something I didn't own ages ago.

you know I didn't notice earlier as I just skimmed that list for games I wanted (and didn't own) but assuming that the list will go on sale next week I wonder if the magic 2013 game is coming with DLC as the base price for that is $10 no? so 50% off should be $5 not $7.50

hopefully there is more to that list though, with all of the random overlooked games on that list the absence of moon diver makes me sad :/
 
I can't figure out why I can't download Infamous 2. The game size is 15 gigs but my system has 19 gigs free avd yet when I try to download it says I don't have enough room.

Thoughts?

you need twice the size of any file to install it as the game will need to install fully first before it can remove the original data.

aka for infamous 2 a 15gb file you need 30gb free to install the store likely checks to make sure you have the room to install it before bothering with the download.

So I don't have enough room? Wtf? I don't wanna delete all my music , themes, movie, and other games just for Infamous 2.

You can get rid of your music and movies if you use a media server with ur PS3. Just PC that stuff, man! No need to waste disk space when you can just stream over your network.

yup if you want to install infamous 2 you will need a total of 30gb free or so.

If you play a number of physical games on your ps3 you could always check your game install data (a separate thing from save data). A number of ps3 games install a few gigs of data from the disk that you could temporarily delete and then just install again after you install infamous 2 when ever you put those games back in.

Yup, just like zulux said you need 30GBs for it. 15GB for the actual download and another 15GB for the install. The download will automatically delete itself after the installation leaving you with 15GB of free space.

Haha, that's how I've felt for most of Plus. Even this month it's happening. Arkham City, great game, right? Guess what I picked up in the supermarket for 98p yesterday?

Arkham fucking City.
 
So I just finished a 30 day trial from a Facebook competition and luckily I got another 30 day free trial from Hitman Absolution. Now I tried to enter that code (valid until 31.12.2013) and it always says I entered a non-valid or expired code. Are there restrictions when it comes to the region? I am from Austria and bought the game from Amazon UK if that matters.

Pretty sure you can only use one free trial per account. Otherwise you could just subscribe solely from them.

I'm not really sure how much 98p is but AC isn't all that new... it's almost 14 months old now and it's been on sale for $7.50 for the PC version and $10 for the console versions before for the base game in the USA (and that's the in general sale prices, it's been cheaper on clearance at some stores when they were clearing the old version out for the GOTY version)
 
EU PS+ games are available to dl now in PS+ section (AC, Vanq, Limbo) and when you dl Arkham City you're getting Catwoman DLC for free too

I work at Morrisons part time, and they seem to be clearing out the games section. I got twelve games for £40. Witcher 2 was 98p, Uncharted 3 was £5, SFxT was £5, FF13-2 was 98p... Got a good haul. All PS3 or 360 too. No discounted PC titles.

I grabbed Tekken Tag Tournament 2 last night for £7 and also Ace Combat for £5 , had heard XCOM was meant to be £7 but was scanning full price :(

Awesome. Looking forward to trying Vanquish. And playing Batman with a controller. Beat it already on PC, but the controls on a keyboard were... not good.

Might as well grab Limbo, since, you know, it's there.
 
I really wish you could just purchase these PS+ freebies over the web instead of having to fire up the PS3 and navigate the shop.

I know, beggers, choosers, etc.
 
I broke down and grabbed PS+ as it's £7.99 for the 12 days thing and I'm actually pretty impressed. Grabbed Bulletstorm, Vanquish and Limbo. Even if that's all I get for the next 3 months I'll consider it £7.99 well spent.

Feels like the earliest store update we have had, lol, the PS+ games are up along with ME1 etc., Pretty great week so far content wise, going to keep me busy.

Limbo still seems to be showing up as £9.99 and not free yet, guess I can wait, lol.

And fuck, I went from playing Max Payne 3 multiplayer for ages, to having a backlog of about 20 games to go through. PS Plus has come pretty far from when it first launched.

trial codes require CC too, you'd have to buy PS+ cards from ebay/amazon/etc to omit CC info
