pretty meh!
Most of those titles were free during E3. I guess asking for new content would be too much after 12 free games. I got Renegade Ops for free last year (Steam). Packman, ok I guess, I don't care for Gotham City. Everything else is from June
It was already known that only three of the free titles would be replaced this month.
First I'm hearing off this. I'm not even mad, 12 free games is a tough follow. The three new titles are solid picks to boot. I just don't see anything worth it this month.

Definitely excited about Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. Wanted to pick that up on XBLA a while back, just never got around to it. Renegade Ops is good, but I've already played/beat the superior PC version. I don't do a ton of MP on my PS3, so Gotham City Imposters isn't really interesting, to me.
Pretty good month, though, I guess. Just give me Motorstorm: Apocalypse already, and I'll happily sing PS+ praises.

The EU game is almost certain to be Transformers related, given the teasers they've put out on Twitter.

I see a bee, a motown hit (Ross? Supremes? Motown?) and a stealth bomber (Blackbird?)

Edit2:...the plane is a Nighthawk.
Edit3: There appears to be a Nighthawk in Burnout Paradise (the KITT-alike), and one car in that looks like the Transformers movie take on Bumblebee. A vague possibility.
There's also a Nighthawk mission in Dead Island.

Looks like I won't be renewing my Plus subscription after all.

They still are doing retail games, but they're not rotating as frequently as regular PSN games. Before the revamp, we didn't get as many retail games as well.

Ya, 12 games is a tough act to follow, but wasn't that supposed to be the whole point? Wasn't PS Plus getting a revamp, and we should be expecting more free AAA games, not just cheap downloadable games?
The way it is now, it looks like all those free games were just part of standard E3 promotion, and not a sign of a change. All those people (possibly me included) who signed up for PS Plus during E3 because of all their hype and talk about change are probably going to just let our subscription lapse now. Hopefully this isn't just more missed opportunity for Sony and PS3.

Aren't they all $15 or less PSN/XBLA games? Seems like a crappy month to me. They just put Uncharted 1 up on PSN, gimme that shit for free. I played it before trophies so I need to plat.
It still is a change. Before, it was usually just free PSN DD games and they would only be free for a month. Now there's 12 free games at all times, a good portion of them being retail games. So new comers will be greeted with 12 games right away. I think people will always demand for better offers though. Now we get 12 free games and people are already demanding new, free retail games every month when it wasn't the case before.

It got trophies via patch but the trophies weren't retroactive
For me, they did good. I don't think I wasted my money on the 3 month subscription at all based on what I got. Its just that I see no reason to continue subscribing if this is how its going to be moving forward (its not like they are literally giving them for free, there's a subscription and its more of a rental service). Just a great incentive for new subscribers.
You don't need to download them to be able to play them. Just add them to your cart and checkout, you can then download and play them at any time later as long as you have a subscription.

I'm excited for Pac Man, as I looooooved the demo, but I couldn't care less about the other two. I was hoping for Darksiders. :/
I share your disappointment. I was hoping for at least 1 blu ray game a month, otherwise it's not really a revamp. We get mostly the same stuff as before, actually less if you factor PS1 games.

So, after 12 weeks bluray games like Infamous 2/LBP will be gone and new ones will appear. I never got the impression we'd be getting 1 bluray game a month from anything they said.
That would be embarrassingly bad if true. There should be, at the very least, one free retail game per month. Otherwise there's no chance in hell I'd ever resub, no matter how good cloud saves are.

Look above. It is most likely what will happen. Even that way it's still a huge amount of content for your money. But if PSN games really don't mean anything to you then yeah, probably not worth it.
Yeah that quote was tossed around here a lot but none of us seemed to know exactly what they meant. They then said we'd get new stuff every month still but didn't say what that could be.
If it's like what you said then I don't see how it's a revamp at all. It's definitely a downgrade in that case. I don't have much interest in many PSN games.

I don't really like most of the "arcade" games after 10 minutes so no, it's not really a huge amount of content for me. Hard Corps is dope though, thanks PS+!

Yeah it wasn't every month but it was on a better pace than every 3 months. We got far cry 2, tomb raider, NFS shift 2 (I think that was the one, there's so many) and Sly 1 and probably others I forgot about.
On a side note why does the first 70 things in my download history all say june 29 when that's not when I downloaded them? Does that have something to do with PS+ refreshing, because I'm pretty sure that's when I got my 3 month card.

Isn't Far Cry 2 and Tomb Raider much older games then Infamous and LBP2? Even at the time of when the released on PSN+? Not sure they're "worth" as much.
But anyway, up to 12 weeks maximum doesn't mean that it'll necessarily be 12 weeks . Just that no game will ever be more then 12 weeks there. And every time a game gets removed another takes it place.

If all they do is rotate in 3 new games each month that will still be a total of 55 games over the course of a year. I fail to see how that can be seen as a bad deal for $50.

Yep. Pretty fucking much. I've made up my money's worth so many times. They are all brilliant games. Does it matter if it's disc-based or not? I really prefer PSN titles cause disc-based games are so massive that I only have 60GB off my 320GB left.
With that said, someone mentioned 1TB HDD for PS3. How do you make that shit work? I need it!!

I prefer it spread out over 1 a month instead of all at once, because I've already played through most of those in the time they've been available. So all I'm left with for the rest of the year, pretending that they won't give any more blu ray games, are just PSN games I have minimal to zero interest in.
