specific titles, go to plus section of store and they all are there.

but if you do not "download" them before the time for offer runs out you have "lost" those games and you cannot download them for free later on
 
You don't need to download them. Just add them to your cart and complete the transaction. They are then on your download list for as long as you are a subscriber

Specific titles. There's always a minimum of 10 free games for Plus-members, so that's why Carl said "you get 10 games when you first sign up".

Once a game is in your Download List (your download history), it remains free for as long as you're subscribed.

To get games in your download history, you can of course download a game, but it's enough to simply go through all the steps as if you'd want to download them, except for the actual download. That final step is optional.​
 
PS+ is pretty awesome if you're new to the system, Danj. Not only do occasionally get a quality PS3 title, but it's also a good way of experiencing smaller games that you wouldn't have tried otherwise.

I have a question. My 3-month PS+ sub ran out today.
I planned to get a one year sub when I got home from work as it is 25% off in the EU (£30), but to my dismay it has auto-renewed my 3 month sub for £12.
I didn't realise it would do this.

Is there any way I can upgrade my 3 month to a year for the extra £18??

No. Sorry you got screwed by the auto-renew.

To turn it off:

PlayStation Network > Account management > Transaction Management > Services List > PlayStation Plus > PlayStation Plus [Subscription] - Cancel Automatic Renewal.


Also, deleting your credit card information from PSN (or any other place) is never a bad idea.
 
I see for Plus all the Borderlands DLC is on sale for $10, anyone know if that is for just this week or all month long sale?

I have 2 of the DLC's for Borderlands 360 already but might still want to get this one.
 
Just became a + member for the second time. Reason why was because I was going to buy Machinarium with the £7 I had in my wallet, until I noticed that it was free for PS+ members. I figured it was the better option to add an extra £5 to my wallet, subscribe for 90 days and get the game free, while as a bonus get a ton of other free stuff too. "Bonus" is an understatement! Holy shit, PS+ was pretty darn good when I first had it, but it's blown up to epic proportions now. Can't believe how many proper full retail releases there are available for free now. Borderlands, Just Cause 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Guardian of Light, inFamous 2... I have no idea where to start. Spoiled for choice.

Gonna download as many free Dynamic Themes as possible too. Those things are like crack.

Check the "Expiring Soon" section of the PS+ section on the store. If it's listed in there then it comes down right before the store update this coming Tuesday. If it's not there then we don't know when the offer expires because SCEA doesn't tell us those things for the most part like SCEE does.

I would just get that 1 year sub, wouldn't hurt to get an extra year for that discounted price. :)
 
So, for anyone who has run out of Plus, and picked up WD 1 and 2 through it, is Ep. 3 only playable if you renew Plus or buy Episode 1?

Yep! The way it works is that Episode one is the "Game" and all of the other episodes are DLC for that "game". Hence, if you got Episode 1 through PS+, you can no longer start episode 1 and therefore can't play ANY of your episodes, even if you bought them. You have to buy episode 1 or re-up your PS+ subscription.

Really bad way of doing things, SCEA.
 
Yeah, that's likely what I'll do. Such a shame that they did it this way, but it's not a huge deal. WD is definitely worth it.
 
I actually think the way that the episodes work are ingenious, as they don't have to go through as much rigamarole that usual titles have to on XBLA, and having them as DLC in this case makes them much easier to access than being individual episodes, it's just weird in this case because of how clunky the PS + structure uses it.
 
RDR is such an amazing game, I'm really glad I bought PlayStation Plus

Do have a hard time finding out (in game) where the various shots that can be heard are coming from (while riding out of town etc.), does anyone else share this problem? Have only got stereo speaker(s).

I've been a US Plus member since the beginning and while I don't have the same games as you do, I've got a list as long. Plus made my PS3 my go to gaming system. I haven't turned on my 360 since Mass Effect 3, and not much before that.

thanks for the list, I too have been uk+ member since day 1 and could not agree more, great value for money.
 
Well, I got to play the first couple of episodes of The Walking Dead, and for that I am grateful. Outlands is pretty decent, but all the other games I really didn't care for. I think this is something I would rather hop in and out of when there are games on it I actually want to play.

RDR is haaaaamazing! But am i the only one who thinks that it is a bit on the easy sied? The only problem i've had so far were the treasure maps.
rocks and bushes? Really? How am i supposed to find that....in a dessert.....full of......rocks and bushes.

apart from that: at least everyone with a ps3 in europe should have ps+. No excuse.

I'm not sure I would've finished it if it were any more difficult. As much as I really enjoyed RDR, the gameplay still has a lot of the flaws that plague every Rockstar game.

I added a few missing things to make it a day 1 EU PLUS list which should be correct until the next Plus update on September 12.
 
I'm not sure I remember Magic 2012 ever being offered, but then again, I bought it myself day 1, so I probably just didn't notice.

Sonic Adventure was indeed DLC, thanks for fixing that. I assume the stuff you've marked as free game doesn't expire, and therefore wasn't pushed to the top again, because I'm sure I have a few of them.

Same - until I turned on my 360 yesterday to download the Mark of the Ninja trial, I hadn't used it since Trials Evolution.

Magic 2012 was offered last december when SCEE brought back previous plus games instead of DOTP. Most people probably missed it.

It was available if you bought a 1 year plus subscription during the first birthday sales but I recall EU blog comments saying it wiped all records of all of your previous plus games so you might have dodged a bullet.
 
I just subscribed for PS+ a few days ago (EU PS+).

Man, all those 'free' games are just too much to handle. A bit bummed I just missed out on the Deus Ex game but I guess I'll pick up at some later time.

One full year of Plus for 38 Euro ain't that bad a deal. I'm super stoked!!! :-D
 
Oh well. Already have Pilgrim on 360. Not super interested in Double Dragon but I'll give it a shot.

The early access to JSR would excite me more if I didn't have a huge backlog. But I won't bother with it for now because I know it'll be a long time before I play it.
 
I really wish someone could edit the obnoxious "Plus What?" out of this thread title. Its a constant reminder of the ridiculous culture of complaining in here.

Anyway, Jet Set early access and $1 off is most welcome.
