PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

I really wish someone could edit the obnoxious "Plus What?" out of this thread title. Its a constant reminder of the ridiculous culture of complaining in here.

Anyway, Jet Set early access and $1 off is most welcome.

Think of it more like an incredulous "Plus what?!"

Plus: an awful lot of stuff.
But that still won't stop the complaining.

I'll give Double Dragon a spin. Scott Pilgrim is a great game, by the way, so those who haven't already should play it.

They should add a line that represents the culture of circlejerking low standards fellas who can't handle other people complaining about the service they love instead.

I have a question.
If I preordered Borderlands 2 on the EU PSN Store, can I share the game with my friend!? Because sometimes games require to sign-in by the original ID.

Ugh. I tried borderlands online for the first time and now my quest log is filled with incompletable quests and every single story quest in the knoxx dlc before I even started it.

I am sad now.

Unrelated, but I pre-ordered NHL 13 on the PS Store. It's supposed to be available at midnight, and it's currently 1:18 AM Eastern.

When does it actually update?

I can't get any trophies in Borderlands, the game keeps telling me "No trophy was earned" or something.
I downloaded and played the full game trial a while ago and I still have my save from that trial. I can't remember if the save was on my main account or my US one, but it seems I have to delete everything to get trophies again...
Well, I wasn't too far in the game, gladly.

I don't think they publish this information in advance, you'd need to wait until release and for someone to be your guinea pig.

Was the same for me but I kept playing and ended up absolutely loving it. :)

On the plus side, I love the design, cell shading and all.

PS+ content for the Vita is going to be the deciding factor for me to renew next year. I like having these free games available to me, though none of the exclusive deals have really appealed to me yet.

Thank you.
So it's the publisher that decides this, not Sony, right!?
Basically, the 'share your games with your friends' doesn't always work, damn.

I need to try this again now that it's sitting on my PS3.

Thank you.

Yeah, the publisher sets the DRM. It's not Capcom at least, so you have a chance. If I had to guess I'd say you can probably share it, but you won't be able to play online at the same time (which kind of screws the whole idea I'm sure).

Sony should copy the Steam thing, where you can buy bundles at a discount and distribute them to different PSN IDs.

Thank you.

I've not pre-ordered anything on PSN yet. How does it work? Can I pre-load the content so I can play it at midnight or do I have to download it on the day the game launches?

Haven't actually touched Borderlands after a few quests. Not really feeling the game (yet?).

It's a slow burner. I wasn't impressed with it at all in the begining. But when I started levelling up and getting some sweet ass lewt, I got hooked.

Great fucking game.

dem gunz......

It doesn't download as soon as you preorder it. But the PS3 turns itself on and the pre-order downloads itself on a set date a few days before the game is supposed to release. And the money is withdrawn 2 days before release.

Cool, just got a bundle of 3 1 month codes for $12 from ebay, that's definitely worth it to be able to rent Outland, LBP2 and Pacman. And now I can strategically use them this season to coincide with discounts I want to use. Still pretty annoyed that they effed up the discounts for nonmembers after Plus came into existence, but this'll do.

Can you buy increments of 10 in the PSN store? Or just charge 9 euro's to the card? I have a PSN + 30 day trial, that will give me access and the discount right?

If its more than $5 you can charge it to the card exactly I think. Or if you want you can add to the wallet 10 or 25 increments. Something along those lines.

In the US, PSN is similar to a store that has a $5 minimum credit card charge. Buy anything that costs more than that, and you'll be charged the exact amount. Buy anything cheaper, and you'll be charged $5 with the remainder going into your PSN wallet.

Redownload the games and its expiration should be updated.

Remember, you don't need to download the entire game. Just go to your list, select the game you want to renew your expiration date and then it will appear "Activating" after that it's done, no need to download the entire game again.

I just did this to all my games since I got another year with that nice discount price.

Thats insane, I have a lot of +5GB games. :/

Come on man, just a couple of posts above you! ;)

You don't need to redownload at all as long as the expiration date being wrong doesn't bother you. It'll auto correct the date after you start the game when it would have expired according to the previous date.

Not to join the negative nellies, but yesterday I finally tried Scott Pilgrim, Bloodrayne, and Double Dragon Neon, and I hate all three of these things. Scott Pilgrim is the only one I thought wasn't a TOTAL waste of harddrive space, but still pretty awful, and I wish I had never added any of them to my list of games in my trophy section.

Double Dragon Neon, particularly, is the worst thing I've played in maybe a decade.

It gets much better after the first few races. The first lot of tracks are really boring.

I've completed Festival mode and dabbled in the multiplayer, and there's just so much wrong with it. The loose handling feels awkward, the camera is terrible - turning sharp corners actually ends up restricting what you see in front of you, and pressing the button to look back spins the camera around your vehicle instead of instantly displaying what's behind, which takes far too long - and there's no rhyme or reason to a lot of the crashes. Burnout was chaotic, but it was always a controlled chaos and it rarely felt unfair. This game on the other hand just fucks the player over time and time again. Sometimes I can slam directly into a wall and not get wrecked, yet at others I'll graze some rubble and have to manually reset my vehicle. Online is even worse - some races are just flat-out impossible to win. I could play a perfect race, but an opponent with a high enough level and superior unlocked perks will dictate who's going to win before it's even started.

I've played few games this frustrating. If I had paid money for it, I'd be fuming!

You've got to play Scott Pilgrim with a few friends. 4-player co-op in that game gave me some great nights back at my old apartment.
