I'm not going to defend Sony too vociferously, since I want some newer retail games myself, but I don't see how rotating good games into the IGC is bad.
Frankly, the only meaningful distinction I'm going to draw between retail and digital, is that many older retail titles aren't available digitally. I've purchased fewer and fewer retail titles in the past couple of years, preferring to buy off the PS Store when I can. I don't feel any less fulfilled as a gamer because I have a big collection of titles on my hard drive, versus a big collection of titles on a shelf.
I played the Outland demo and wasn't ready to bite when it came out. Now it's coming to PS+ apparently, and I'm happy for the opportunity. Would I prefer to hear that Batman: Arkham Asylum was now on PS Store and available for free via PS+? Sure! But that doesn't mean Outland isn't reasonable.
Sorry, guys, but even with my recent disappointment in the PS+/Borderlands issue, I'm not willing to bag on a good game being swapped into the service.
Yes, EU PS+ seems to be ahead at this point, but I'm not disappointed with what I've gotten personally. I'm still getting new games, since the service is additive.
