I'm about to pull the trigger on HOTD for 5 bucks, is it worth it? MC is 75 so I'm a little wary....

HotD Overkill is a steal at $5. Awesome game. If you have a Move controller (I don't even know if it works without Move honestly) you're going to love it.
You'll find lots of fans of it around the internet.

Nah, I like how Sony's been treating us this gen and want to support them, besides the money for plus is nothing compared to what you get with it, even if that means most of us have to end up subsidizing their incredibly poor strategic decisions, such as releasing a handheld in 2012 when everyone's moved on to smartphones and tablets.

You know what's jokes? I was in an electronics store today. Saw sleeping dogs for 59 euros... F1 Racing for $49.
How much did I pay for plus? 2 x 15 euros... Life as + is pretty good dog.
And this is why when I buy my 360 in a week or two, I won't even care that I still have like 6 months of plus left. What a joke.
Thanks to the current 15 months for $50 special, I've re-upped for another year (and then some).

You're getting the exact same amount of PS3 games per month as you did before. Vita games being there isn't affecting you.
I can't imagine not being able to get $50 worth of value out of Plus in a year. I understand we all have different tastes and opinions, but I think Plus is basically the best deal going in video games.

Got a free month of PS+ from the Uncharted 3 event. Just redeemed it a few days ago for those 75% off sales.
Someone told me PS+ is utter trash, and based on my initial free year of PS+ (courtesy my old job at SCEA) I almost half-agreed with them.
Frankly, it's far and wide not true at this point. With all those games, discounts, beta access, etc. it's quite a good deal. Seems better than XBL, anyway, which is required on top of Netflix subscription -_-

PS+ on PS4 will probably take a while to get good. Vita got PS+ a year into its life and it's already running out of worthwhile games to give away, and we don't get all that many of them.
We'll probably get a lot of (new) small download games as freebies early in the PS4's life.

true, unless it ends up getting backwards compatibility with the PS3 PSN games.
It would be nice for them to give us free and/or discounted movies and tv shows with Plus, if the PS4 game offerings will be less.

I think there are still plenty of games that would be perfect Instant Game Collection candidates like: Hot Shots Golf, Virtua Tennis 4, Blazeblue, Hustle Kings, Metal Gear HD games, and those are a few of the ones I'm waiting for to go free. (I was waiting for Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus so yay!) With the way they're drip-feeding us, (I honestly thought PS Vita Plus was going to have their releases separate from PS3 Plus) newer games will eventually be old enough to become IGC candidates and still have plenty of old ones unreleased.

I'm walking as we speak, granted that 6 months is free months I got from abusing that free codes awhile back. They are just not giving me what I signed up for. They wowed me with "Free retail games like Space marines, LP2! Saints row 2!" and what I really got was a bunch of crap ass PSN games like fuck Foosball and bltiz. I would not feel so ripped off if they had stated from the start that they would mostly give us PSN games and a few big titles every now and then.
I never said I never had a 360 btw. I had one when it launched, then it took a crap on me before the S came out and I just stuck with my PS3. You might have noticed that if you had looked at the dates I played games... and Gunstringer is on windows 8.
Not going to say I'm going to miss this thread, if your not in lockstep Sony is great for blessing us with PS+, your ganged up on and called a idiot., Way to have open Discussions folks. Enjoy your echo chamber.

Typically, I do this but I put a reminder in my calendar and just did work. I'll probably never play what I bought, just couldn't pass up the sale.
