Sometimes I rather say it sucks and expect others to at least understand the point of view I'm coming from. PS+ is a fantastic service...one of the best things to happen this gen. I have said this before as well. I have in fact defended the NA PS+ as well. Right now, in comparison to what our friends in EU are getting, the NA side of content offering is very very weak. Why beat around a bush here...that sucks. I honestly don't mind if the games are new or old, but some solid retail releases would be nice to have.

I don't think anyone will deny that the PS+ service itself is not of great value, if they do they're either lying or frustrated. Since I joined in late November of 2012 I've already gotten one game that I was interested in but never bought (Darksiders) and a whole lot of games that I was interested in but would never think of buying. Combining those with the extra discount on sales I've taken advantage of I would say the $50 was worth it. Looking at the EU lineup though, it's not hard to see why people who are NA+ only would be frustrated.

This is why using an analogies is stupid, there are so many things not accounted for.

It doesn't take into account how there are free month give aways constantly happening, it doesn't take into account that I can get three extra months if I buy a year for NA and it doesn't take into account that literally right now I can buy four 90-day EU cards and stack them for the exact same price of a one year NA membership. Disregarding all that, EU tends to pay more in general for the same content that NA gets constantly. I certainly don't know much about what goes on behind the scenes, I'm sure there's a lot of legal work that goes into getting a game onto PS+ but whatever the process is, EU is doing a much better job.

Personally I'm satisfied with the NA service so far, game selection isn't as good as EU but I feel like I've got my moneys worth. There hasn't been a full PS3 retail game for this month yet so I'm excited for that. Me being satisfied with the NA service doesn't mean much though. If at the end of this year I feel like the grass still looks greener on the other side I'll switch.

First of all, my opinion is totally more justifiable: You're saying that EU Plus is better, which is subjective. I'm saying both sides have benefits and for me, personally, US Plus is better, but I can understand why someone would prefer the EU, and that person should buy the EU if they're only going to buy one. MOREOVER... EU Plus costs more. So even if I did agree that it was better... it should be. It's more expensive. Derp.

If peer pressure is (apparently) a motivator for you, then consider how you know that my opinion is in the minority? Where is it the minority - everywhere, or just in this GAF thread? Something tells me the fact that Plus is a significant success for SCEA shows that my opinion of Plus is in fact in the majority. Not that that matters to me, but seemingly it does to you. So... You can back everything up from your memory card to your PS3 or PC (PC is more convenient) before you wipe it. Then transfer it all back when you're done with Ninja Gaiden.

That's your only option, though.

That's all there is to it. You can backup the data for multiple PSN accounts on the same PS3 or PC. (As long as you're logged into that account on PS3.) It's not really very complicated or difficult. The only drawback is that you can't play any of your downloads from your main account until you format it again.

The financial success or lack thereof from SCEA's standpoint is not what I am contesting.
I like many other posters here acknowledge the value of the service while at the same time are displeased in the disparity between the NA and EU offerings, that is all.

I am mostly happy with Plus overall, even though the difference US gets is at least 5 quality retail releases. I got two years Plus for about $70, there was that Target deal on GAF that went pretty quick though, but you really have no excuse if you didn't pick up a one year sub after E3 on EBay for around $30 which it was there for a couple weeks. Buying it for 3 months is a waste imo just buy a deal on a year. I actually like the discounts as much as the monthly games since you don't own those. So I am good untill 2015 I am even thinking of taking advantage of that free 3 months with another year sub before March 4, but maybe I will just get a EU account also instead.

I'm not on any defense force here, I just want to encourage the tone of the thread to be more about the games and less about comparing US to EU and whining. I want to know how Closure is or if some of these discounts on games I've never heard of are worth looking into.

And yes, blah blah not everyone is a PC gamer something something, frankly I don't care since I am speaking from my personal perspective. Which, those being the big retail games on PS+ for 2 months in a row has been really underwhelming for me.

I'm not completely writing them off or anything since I actually really like both games but I find it really easy to sympathize with people upset that our last few big retail freebies are games you can get dirt cheap elsewhere, and, this is completely ignoring any sort of envy for EU stuff.

did you delete the games from your hard drive after you stopped having plus?

Are you sure you dled them? Just because something is in your dl history doesn't mean you dled it. You could've just added it to your cart, which is all you need to do for it to end up in that list.

If you select folders as your display type, then yes, but that folder would still be under the Games "tab."

All you need to do. Click it a few times to switch between "All", "By Format" and "By Album".
But again, if they're not clearly there, you probably haven't downloaded them.

I didn't scam my way into a plus code I bought it during the October buy 100$ psn get 20$ back.

Voicing displeasure that there hasn't been ONE SINGLE thing I've wanted since the initial vita games is not "a baby". Starting an internet petition or hassling US PSN workers on twitter/psn blog would be childish. What is certainly childish is telling others they can not be unhappy with their purchase.

nope Rayman 3 HD, downloaded the Full Unlock Key and then the Demo. And i looked in the free trial area to no avail. Free Trials have the plus next to them, these don't and just say download.

Only NBA and Rayman worked for me.. Clash of Heroes now says $7.49...

Not sure, as I haven't used the web store for this yet myself (been meaning to try it out), but I think so? But by "buy" you have to mean "add to cart." You don't have to download it, no, but it does have to be in your download list.

... No? "Childish" isn't defined as "things you don't like." An internet petition might be pointless, but I don't know how it's, by its nature, childish. Whining, now that's childish. Rage and hyperbole is childish. That's the screaming "I HATE YOU" to your mother when she doesn't let you stay up past your bed time, when you really mean "aw shucks, that's a bummer."

And, for the billionth time, I'm not saying people can't be unhappy. "lol what a joke fuck SCEA" isn't the same to me as "I haven't found any of the recent additions appealing."

Sony added an automatic funding option, that allows you to get charged without saying you want to buy it.

It was an error on the store, everyone who bought them or downloaded them, got charged to their credit card, via the automatic adding of funds option they added to the store.

I turned that option off after issues with the music unlimited service trying to reload to my credit card after I cancelled and didn't use the service.

because people had a CC on file and the automatic withdraw when not enough funds on.. Which was just recently changed. As it always had me redo the CC security on my card, but this time it didn't.
