Crazy-but-just-about-plausible suggestion, as I look out the window and see work vehicles resurfacing the car park: it's the end of the fiscal year and they've found some leftover in their budget for securing Plus titles.

They have basically given away everything I was interested in for Vita on EU Plus.

I guess it could be Counter Strike: Global Offensive? When a popular game gets delayed for months for no apparent reason SCEE often come up with some sort of compensation (as it was the case with Trine 2).
It says check out with Paypal at the top of the page, so you can use it to buy. But I'm not sure if a) they'll ship outside of the UK (assuming they ship a card and don't email a code) or b) you need a UK address to register.
Have you tried registering and asking their support? They're a legit company (although they have risen from the ashes of administration recently).

Regarding stacking the PS+ membership... If I buy two years for $99.98 I get 2 years 6 months, plus $20 back in April (buying some $0.50 dlc). That will put my expiration date in Aug. 2015. I really don't think the membership will be transferable to the PS4. What is the probability that we are going to keep getting new games for PS3 after the PS4 comes out?
Also, if they cancel the service for PS3 somewhere down the line, will I be able to keep my rentals?

In regards to that last bit...I think not, but I do believe that down the road, Plus will be transferable to the PS4.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but doesn't the PS+ icon refers to the game being purchasable without purchasing the entire collection ?
IIRC you can only buy GoW1 or GoW2 alone if you are a PS+ members. Standard members have to buy both.
It could be a PS+ freebie for next month but it's a bit early to show it already on PSN.

PS Blog and PSN are 2 different things. They announce PSN/PS+ content on PS blog before or when it's released.
The first March update is scheduled for next week and they never use the What's new section of the PS3 to tell what is going to be released so early.
That's a screenshot from the PS3 What's new menu or something like it.
They will announce it tomorrow but it won't be available in tomorrow's EU PSN update. And so, it won't appear on the PS3 before the following update.
It can still be the bonus game, or even both games. But that's not a confirmation, or even a hint.

Ps+ has been around longer than the vita and it was launched as a ps3 service. Now I am sick of getting vita games that I won't be able to play instead of ps3 games that I would be able to play. Vita should fuck off and get its own ps+ service. I'm sick of subsidizing efforts to make a failed product sell better with my ps+ subscription.

Sony didn't take any PS3 game away from you. They added Vita games for the same price you were paying.
Send them an email saying that you are paying 50$ just for PS3 games. They will gladly take away those annoying Vita games from you and you can still pay 50$.

Don't know why this video hasn't gotten more attention here on GAF — it's a fairly long interview with Kaz Hirai where he states that if they got rid of the Vita stuff on Plus, they would probably replace it with an initiative that would make all future new releases free for Plus users for the first week:

Not sure if im going to grab soundshapes as that seems destined free for ps+ otherwise unfortunately i have the games i want that are on the anniversary sale.
Holy christ, is it just me, or is PSN slower than molasses right now? I don't think I've ever seen it this slow, at that's saying something. Took me 10 minutes just to download a 26 MB update for the store. And now that I'm IN the store, it's chugging bad.
edit: maybe just an isolated incident. Downloading a demo now at a far more respectable rate. About 500 kB/s

I already made fun of Roto today, do I have to do the same to you?
I played it a bit today and just held the Vita with my left hand (thumb over Sony, pinky along the bottom edge, index along the top edge and the other two straight along the back) and used my right index finger on the screen. I didn't have a problem with it that way and it was easy to shake the Vita to collect sun/coins.
