PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

I've been downloading a whole bunch of free dynamic themes for free thanks to plus. I've found the one I'm going to stick with, its a cracking Sega one. Its basically a kids bedroom with a Megadrive, CRT TV and bunch of games on a table. The game being played on the TV changes each time you turn on the PS3.

Although I love the instant game collection, I do miss getting new themes from time to time. It'd be nice if they threw a new one up occasionally.

I must say that I am tremendously frustrated at how utterly sluggish the new PSN store has been. Waiting for it to be able to quit is painful and it gets downright atrocious if a download is running simultaneously in the background.

Wish we could bring back the old store. Less flash but far more efficient.

you can technicaly download it on ps3 though i don't know if you can transfer it later to psv (i don't have one, yet).
Enjoy ps+, it's real good. And I was one of its eraly detractors, but the formula evolved into something of a gamer's dream.

Thanks.

1. Yes
2. Through the time trials section of PS+ on the webstore, click on any listing, then click on "More for *game name*" in the description to see the price of it.

Here is the link to the timed trials section of PS+ in the European store. Just click on the game and the price should be shown on the left.

Ah, thanks very much. I think it's a confusing move not to put the prices upfront as well.

I know it's probably been asked, but I'll ask it anyways. My first JRPG was Persona 4 Golden, and I fell in love afterwards. With Disgea 3 coming shortly on PS+, I'm thinking of investing time in it, but for a newb to the genre, what should I be expecting if I'm holding it up against P4G? Is the story as deep? Are the characters as likable? Is the action better? I'd like to get an idea of what I'm in for before investing time, given how long JRPGs seem to be in general.

Disgaea is a completely different genre. First of all, it is a strategy RPG, and it is composed of stages where you battle your army against another army. It is also completely light hearted, and the point of the game is to abuse the RPG mechanics to get as overpowered as possible. Just give it a go, though. I love the series.

Interesting, thanks.

*sigh* between all these PS+ games plus the occasional game I buy, I just can't find the time to play them all. It's almost like a gaming overload. Still, love Sony for giving us +

I have a feeling that all of you getting Tekken 6 PSP...are gonna delete it eventually after playing it. Me I'll just get it cuz, hey Plus Freebie, but I don't see myself ever playing this on a handheld.

Why? Tekken 6 PSP is pretty good. I prefered Tekken DR PSP myself, but T6 is a really great port.

I guess it's because I personally find fighting games more worth playing multiplayer, and T6's SP mode didn't interest me much eventually. Oddly enough tho, I have an interest in Fatal Fury 1 and World Heroes 1 due to their SP mode being their main highlight. Silly SNK for the seperate pricing on the PSP and PSN ver. though >=/

Still...if I'm proven wrong and most who get it have a good time playing then more power to them~

...which reminds me: How is the PSX port of Cyberbots? I know it isn't close to the Arcade ver., but if it runs fine in its own way I could grab it for play on both my Vita and with my bros.
I need some Jin Saotome and co. in my life =_=.

Hm, thanks for the list. I have most of those in physical format or digital already, though. And on the topic of PS2, I buy PS2 games cheap from a local mom-n-pop shop. 16 titles after two weeks of buying on and off there.

Any PS+ promo going on? Need to renew my subscription :|

North America?

Not specifically on PS+, the closest thing there is right now is "spend $50 in March, get $10 back". There was a deal for "buy a year, get 3 months free" going on that you could combine with the spend $50 but that's gone. I'm not sure if EU has anything going on.

Thanks! But I think Europe is out of promos lol

I was gonna recommend it but I think he also needs to spend one more $ to have spent a total of $50 ^_^;
...but Keslord, go recharge with an extra $20 and grab Runner2 along with any other game, it's my GotY contender atm.

Oh, didn't notice that.

But yeah, what you said.

Good lord, I've spent 141 dollars this month (well, since Feb 26 when started the promotion). Well, I have to spend more 9 dolars. Any ideas?

^Okami HD maybe? I'm hoping for SSF4 TBH, but I have less than 90 GB, and really wish Capcom would trim the size of that game >=/

Consider some PSX games maybe, or a PS2 game? There's also Pid if you don't have it yet.

Okami nope.

We will se Okami on a sale in the near future. And a few months later on Plus. But not before it went on sale. And thats totally okay, just waiting to buy it for 10 Euro.

Did Chris Howe drop some hints yesterday on the PS Blog as to what is coming to EU PS+ in the near future or am I reading too much into his smilies?

P.S.: Any news on a Sound Shapes sale? ;)

Afraid no news at the moment, might be working on a little something else for Sound Shapes :)

What are the chances of discounts on Okami HD and Skullgirls in the future?

Probably not discounts but you never know what can happen ;)

personally I found it less exciting. I liked the weekly reveals it made my mondays interesting, knowing what is coming all month long means I don't get to have the excitement of a surprise free game for plus until next month.

the lowered amount of complaining from people in general was nice though.

Assuming a month where I don't bother to download anything besides one game (only have downloaded stuff this month and the vita ps+ start month)

Scenario A Tell me all at once. "Yay game X is coming!"

Scenario B "Bummer nothing for me 3X" "Yay game X is coming!" once.

I would only prefer scenario B if they made ps+ unrealistically awesome in a way that there was something I wanted the vast majority of weeks.

Hate to say it man, it literally jsut was. I bought both GoW psp games last week and they were both half price, with a ps plus 10% extra discount. Not sure when it ran til but I think it's done. Likely won't be on sale again for awhile :(

It's so so good. I had it on 360 awhile back but I'd prefer to play it on a level by level pick up and playt basis so I grabbed it a few days ago for Vita. Soooo good. And beautiful, it makes me wish for more 2d games

...ouh :(
i wish i subscribe to this sooner :(
thks for info though.

edit:just saw the post below you,EU ?
hmm i wish NA got the deals :(

Based on a reply by Jawad from last week's store update entry, he mentioned that Okami would go on sale, so hopefully it's this week XO.

EU is getting 12+3 months for 49.95€ 20/03/13 - 10/04/13.

I may have to get some extension to my subscription.. nah - it's already active until 20/04/14.

Damnnnnnnnnn.

I feel like I can't say no to this. I believe PS+ will be rocking well into PS4 territory. With vita games, and PS3 games. Alike.

To think, if I buy this I no longer have to concern myself for over a year. The price of 1 new game.. for an estimated rental of 5 IGC' every month. I new release vs 125 games.
