That's a normal part of the HDD upgrade. You have to reinstall the system from USB when you put a drive in, even if it's the previous one (after putting a different one in).

I don't think yo UK save would even work on mainland europe games, I once borrowed Ratchet from a friend, then ordered it cheap from Zavvi to continue my game, didn't work.

Trophies unlock during the trial.
Back then I didn't know that you need to expire the trial while the game is still free, so I started FarCry 2, got a trophy and then the trial expired. I didn't "buy" the game, so I couldn't play it anymore, but the trophy stuck.

It's up to the game. Most single-player games allow you to download while playing, but some don't.

PSN download speeds are weird. Sometimes when a download has slowed down, it helps for me to pause it and resume it to get it up to speed again.Cheers. The download has sped up now, so I'll wait

That's because it doesn't always connect you to the same server. It seems like the games are stored in various different places and sometimes when you pause the transfer and restart it, it'll get the game from another place that has a better connection. Noticed this while trying the PC as a proxy method to get better speeds.
Downloading everything now. Hope Okami is as good as people say. Never played it before.

Am I the only one who is actually the most excited to try LOTR out of the PS3 games? I really liked the Dark Alliance/Champions games and whatnot. It can't be that bad.

In my opinion everyone should try War in the North. It was a great Winter game to me, soundtrack was very nice (they played in a Concert on one E3 when the game released) and you can play Co-op. It's not a great game, but I found it very fun. Maybe because I played in a time that I was needing a basic hack & slash game and this one did it for me. I also have the Artbook from this game and I like their design.
Despite being in a minority about this game I hope some of you at least try it. Play it relaxed and do not rush it.
It's just weak around the edges and quite bland, its not a bad game just simply average. I found it to be better to play local co-op and I'm guessing online co-op would just be as fun too.
