Any idea as to when Okami will be leaving Euro PSN+, its a long game and Im nowhere near finishing it.

Next month but if you already have it downloaded/on your download list you can download it again at anytime/keep playing as long as you want as long as you are subscribed.

It doesn't matter. As long as you already "claimed" it you can play it as long as you have a PS+ subscription.
Yup, play it at your own pace, don't worry about losing it forever or anything.

Or else, I'd be really stressed for not completing Demon's Souls in time. I have invested 32 hours on it ever since it came out and downloaded the next day, haha.

Hold on, guys.

We in the EU got Sleeping Dogs last...February, was it? And we're getting Hitman on May 1st, right?

So does that mean we'll get Tomb Raider in August? :D

Tomb Raider is the best selling game in the UK this year so I would doubt it.
Not "best-selling" enough for Square Enix, was it? Plus, Hitman sold "even better" than Lara's reboot (3.6 million to 3.4 million, iirc). No reason TR can't go on PS+ if H:A does.

It's always a weird feeling I get when I see people not fully understand how Plus works, because they seemingly just can't believe it'd be THAT awesome.

But, indeed, it is! No rush, man. You can keep playing as long as you have a sub. In fact, you could let your sub lapse, then come back in a year and start right where you left off.

Not "best-selling" enough for Square Enix, was it? Plus, Hitman sold nearly as "well" (3.5 million to 4 million, iirc). (I'll come back and edit this if it's wrong)

S-E's expectations are overblown on how much they wanted it to sell. For all we know, it did a good profit, whereas S-E wanted a much higher profit.

Might wanna check my edit. Makes for even stronger evidence to the contrary.

We'll see TR on PS+ this year, I'll bet my
LoveFilm
account on it.

The same has been true with Tomb Raider for well over a decade now. Tomb Raider: Underworld's disappointing performance was the reason why Eidos was sold to Square Enix in the first place.

Besides, Deus Ex: HR was a success and that didn't stop it from hitting PS+.

Indeed. Or getting discounted at 50 - 75% multiple times on Steam (and loads of other digital storefronts leading to Steam) last year. Same thing happened to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and both Kane & Lynch games, iirc.

Perhaps Square Enix just liked to give their old games away under Wada's leadership?

I bought the Borderlands1/2 Bundle sale for $21, so on Borderlands 1 it still has a Plus expire date even though I tried deleting the game twice and restarting it. Since I have Plus for 2 years before it expires making me have to wait to download it again to activate it to own makes little sense, by then who knows if Plus will still have all PS3 games up to redownload. I could of sworn most Plus games downloaded before wouldn't even give me the option to buy until my Plus expired, but this transaction went through, Sony has to figure out something better with this where it auto activates it right away once you buy a game and download it again, also should add options to buy Plus games even with Plus active. I know there is the worry someone with Plus will accidentally buy a game they have access to free, but just put an extra warning screen, you are about to purchase this game which is currently available to you for free with your current Plus subscription or something similar.

I could definitely see P4A being a PS+ game at some point in the future. Its retail price has absolutely TANKED (I've seen it for as low as $15 at times).

Hitman has been out a lot longer than TR though and its only 200,000 ahead.

Wooooooooow, and just like that I lost all interest in getting PS+. Why would I even bother? Totally bummed out right now! : /

Holy shit.

You get to play different games every month for one year for the price of one game, by the time three years passes you would have a LOT of game experiences with a big backlog, it's excellent value.

And as a bonus I'm already piling up Vita games including Virtue's Last Reward, and I don't even have a Vita yet. The value of Vita is getting better and better every month.

I’ve been completely out of the loop when it comes to PS+, I also didn’t realize just how much stuff was free/discounted. I thought that it might all be too good to be true...

Anyway, looks like I won’t be joining up. I’ll just pay the $30 for Okami HD and not have to worry about when my subscription ends. PS+ appreciation just went down a bit.

Still waiting on my refund for getting incorrectly charged for that Labyrinth Legends game last week.

Sony CS is really pitiful at times.

Wish I would have never even "purchased" it.

This is like choosing to buy a Blu-ray for a movie you can stream from Netflix simply because you're worried you won't be able to watch it once you quit Netflix. Hey, your call.

Bleh.

Eh, I don't think I'll be able to justify it. Eventually losing a library of games when I stop subscribing isn't worth the discounts to me. I'd rather pay full price and keep them forever.

The games you buy with the PS+ discounts you do get to keep forever. It's only the free games that you can no longer play when yous subscription expires.

I "get it" if someone wants to own physical copy's and play at they're own pace and time. Plus is a great service, but not for everyone. Somehow. And the timey/pacing thing is perfectly possible with plus imho, just don't expect to finish EVERYTHING. But I'm guessing you wouldn't buy all those game otherwise anyway.

But this is just crazy talk. Even if it's not a service for you and your way of playing, you can see it's unbelievably great, right?

Right?!

And I hate to break it to ya, but nothing lasts forever. :P

I realize that - still doesn’t sit well with me that I won't be able to play them once my sub is over. It's not for me. However I can see why a lot of people love it...

When you resubscribe the library will be still there along with new games.

Also not every game I buy is worth replaying, therefore the cost/time played ratio is pretty damn bad value. PS plus offers excellent value in that regard.

Fair enough. I'm subscribed through 2015 because the value offer is so insanely good I can't see myself wanting to unsubscribe, but to each his own.

Okay cool thanks for the replies guys, the reason I ask is because I used a trial on my brothers PSN account and downloaded it but playing it on mine. If I were to subscribe later with my account could I carry on playing? I tried this with Limbo, downloaded it on mine but since its no longer on PSN+, my brothers account cant play it even though he has a trial running.

What if I download it again on another account with a trial just before the game gets taken off, will I still have it for the whole system to use or just that account?

Sorry for the questions, Okami is a huge game and I have my exams round the corner so not much playtime!

You aren't "losing" anything, though. Because you don't "own" the free games from PS+. Plus, you do get to keep anything you buy discounted on PS+, and I can almost guarantee you'd save at least $60 a year just buying discounted stuff. And that's not even counting free games. PS+ really does pay for itself.

I guess I just don't see the logic in your line of thought here. For the price of one full PS3 game per year, you can have access to 40+ games per year. I'd personally place higher value on being able to experience a great number of games I'd otherwise likely never play than on being able to own one game.
