Well they are going to replace LBP2, Infamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse, so we can probably expect some fine games - in Europe.

Indeed fellow GAFfer, curious to see which 3 big games will replace the yearly releases.
Am I right in thinking that as well as the yearly games (LBP2, inFamous 2 and Motorstorm), we'll also then have another 3 new games as well (Game of the month plus two others)?

It's not on PSN atm. I thought they were working on securing Demon's Souls based on blog replies, but they might one-up US PS+ and get Dark Souls instead lol.

What have the previous big three tent poles been? Would be interesting to see some predictions.
I really don't know about that fellow GAFfer. 3 Big games for the year and then, 3 more for the month. That would be a Backlog destroyer! I dont' remember how it was lat year to be honest.
In EU the big three are LBP2, MotorStorm Apocalypse, and Infamous 2. I'd be incredibly surprised if we didn't see LittleBigPlanet Karting and PlayStation All-Stars, but not sure on the third.
Edit: I'm reasonably sure the 'next week' comment was about the Far Cry demo, but I could be wrong. (It's a reply to comment 28 here: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/05/01/heads-up-playstation-store-update-1st-may-2013/)

I think Battle Royale is a solid guess yeah. Not sure about Karting though, we just had F1 Race Stars, right? Have they always been like boxed console games? No $15 or Vita games? I'd kind of like to see Heavy Rain.

A shooter perhaps as the third one? Problem is neither the Killzone nor the Resistance games are on PSN.
I would say Uncharted 2 or 3 is likely, the only bad thing is the massive size of the games.
The Far Cry Blood Dragon demo is already on there, so the 'check back next week' thing had to be PS+ related, no?
The 'giving' of Uncharted 3's multiplayer isn't exactly much of a gift, though. It's severely limited and the cost to 'upgrade' is like, what, 2 or 3 times that of a new copy of the physical GOTY version with a ton of multiplayer DLC included?
I could totally see the vanilla version of Uncharted 3 being an IGC game. Now? Maybe not, but eventually, sure~!

Thank god Hitman is on PS+. I actually bought it off XBL for 20 but it's got the German voices only and it gives me a headache.
The actual game is out this week in the EU, but there's no demo like in the US, I was wondering if the second part of the comment was in reference to that instead, but he did day "so early" not "too early", so if that wasn't a typo, sounds possible! I mean, the update wouldn't be during E3 this year because then it would be two weeks late, so if it is something big, entirely possible we'll find out about it soon!

I was specifically talking about the 3 "big" games and what the last one could be.

Adjust the PlayStation Plus startup window to sometime during the day.
I general Sony has said that they view PlayStation Plus as an important distinguishing feature for PlayStation platforms. When asked specifically on the blog, the Plus guys just say it's too early to talk about it etc. So you're just going to have to wait. I would Plus will keep on going on the PS3 for a good while into the PS4's lifespan, letting Sony sell it as a value console and third parties keep squeezing some more money out of their catalog.

I am trying to figure out if a person is a PS+ person now, will that give them anything when the PS4 comes around. I guess we will have to wait, as am hoping that it will translate into something on the next gen console. I would not want to see "PS4+" to bee needed in addition, but it might.
I have not done the PS+ thing, but last night I was looking at all of the free games. I think I might go ahead and get a year this evening.

One of my favorite Metal Gears. If you have a friend to play co-op with its even better. Very lengthy game with over 50 hours of content. Get it.
Just received in my email a psn code to turn my 90 days sub into a year sub, for 34,99, i was hesitating to renew now and do it later this year as i don't have much time, but seems a good deal, so i bought a year.. The thing is that if i go again to psn store and choose a year sub it still says 34,99 , and considering it stacks, now i am tempted to buy another year ....
Unsure why this is still a question that gets asked.

So long as you 'buy' the game it'll remain in your dl list for as long as you are a Plus member. You don't have to download it immediatly once you've got it.
Ground Zeroes picks up right where Peace Walker left off.

What's wrong with Malicious? I thought it was great. Takes some getting used to, but once it clicks, it's a great game.

Unless there's a denial coming, argument over. Mario 64 is the best game ever made, and Mario Galaxy (1) is one of the five best of the generation.
