The PSP version has really bad slowdown. :/ You'd be better off just buying the PSOne Classics version than playing this version, even for free. Assuming the PSOne Classic works on Vita.

Yes on the second question by uploading the retail save to the cloud. Doubtful on any deals for PSN cash, that stuff rarely goes on sale.

YMMV on the slowdown obviously, but the digital version of War of the Lions is at least somewhat playable because it greatly reduces the overall load times. It's a compromise I was willing to accept.
