Worldwide i believe, the new PS Plus will slowly be rolled out. I assume the 700+ Games will only be available when the service is fully integrated across the world.

Can't buy a 2nd one, if there is one in the house right now. Maybe after 1 year. But right now, I have other priorities. Plus I still don't have xsx, or upgrade money for my pc.
I plan to buy it once, I have enough money though. Can't keep using his ps5 for longer.

Save the $120 first, then get the service.
If you're doing this for this service, chances are you're doing this for all sorts of things and is why you don't feel like you have money.

When money is tight, other things take priority.
Your idea is great, if you are someone who is thinking for long term.
Paycheck to paycheck people don't have that luxury.
That monthly payment is 3 sandwiches a month. It's affordable, and can be recouped every paycheck. You aren't losing money in the long term.

Usually people only think this on a subconscious level, as saying it out loud makes most people realize how ridiculous that is. If you can't afford $120, why can you afford $216 for the exact same thing?
It's easy to see how these types of decisions can put people in debt regardless of their income, because there are countless companies who will happily tax ignorance and low willpower.

As a PS Now for PC user I assume that I will also be allocated to Premium tier. From what I have read I don't think there will be a price increase for me at launch. What that means after I don't know (I payed for a year (no discount)).
Disappointed though that PS5 games are not available for streaming and no news of when this might happen. Still there are plenty of PS3/PS4 games for me to play.
Really want to see that the full games list. No God of War (PS3 games) listed at the moment.

Yes, PS Plus Premium will replace PS Now, meaning that to stream cloud gaming stuff on PC you'll need PS Plus Premium. If you still have a year of Now, when released in your region your Now account will be migrated to PS Plus Premium with the same expiration date you had before.
The current list has under 270 games but at launch (I assume they meant once released in all regions) was supposed to have over 700 games, so they should keep adding games during the upcoming weeks. In the few Asian countries where they released it this week they don't have cloud gaming support, meaning that there are pretty likely a handful hundreds of PS3 games missing there.
In addition to this traditionally many games aren't released in these Asian countries, so couldn't be there. I think next week they'l add many Japanese games in its Japanese release, and they they'll add more western games as they release in USA and Europe.

I was going to stick with Essential. Between PS Plus and PS5 Collection my backlog is insane as it is but Extra might very well tempt me depending what's on there. Can't say I'm interested in the higher tiers, I already lived through the PS1-PS3 eras; retro graphics aren't something I can tolerate these days, it's actually amazing how bad they look now.

Sure but like i have said in other threads. I got my PS5 this year. Haven´t played Death Stranding DC, Ghost of Tushima DC, Returnal, Demon Souls and Miles Morales. That´s a total of $295 in Amazon right brand new. The extra is $100. How much will i save if i pay for the extra for 1yr?

You will save more if you pay the monthly.
18×3=$54.
You can finish those games in 3 months.
The point for the monthly is managing the price, at affordable pace. You can get the benefits that it has, then cancel it, when it doesn't have what you need.
Long term is only worth it, when the values is 100% there, and you can afford it for those 12 months. And you have to experience those values.

This is not good advice to spread IMO.
3 month of extra is $40 and premium is $50. It's not cheaper to pay monthly maybe for 1 or two month. What if i decide to keep the service longer than 3 or 6 month?
Like i said in my example i save $195 even if i pay 1yr or more if i only pay 3 month of extra instead of buying those 5 games individually. Also they will keep adding games. That's is the beginning of the service.

difference is that, you are getting the monthly value immediately, compared to the yearly. 4-6 months is the minimum amount needed to justify the yearly value.
You will save money in the long term, but you will need to get the value in those months.
For monthly, each big game is enough to give you sense of value.
Keep in mind that monthly users also get the same benefits as the yearly users.
The only difference, would be the last months, which monthly users would spend more money. By that time, they experienced same value, or more than what the yearly users experienced.

Unless you are guarantee to get the value of your money, yearly payments isnt worth it.
PS+, xbox live gold are worth it, simply because you are paying double for a simple service if you are a monthly user. That is where the 1 year long term has value.

Doesnt matter who the company is. There is no immediate value for the yearly, until you pass certain period, which you will see the value.
For example, gamepass has 3 year plan, for $180. You will be saving $360. But your actually savings for that, would start after that 1 year. Essentially, you are waiting 1 year to see your actual value.
So technically, its not worth it, unless you want to save money, and you are 100% sure, you will be using that service for that duration.
This is the way companies use to get people locked in to their ecosystem. Why do you think MS doesnt close that 1 year loophole for gamepass? Simply because those users cant cancel their subscription service until the last day for their subscription. Meanwhile, those users would act as numbers for investors.
As for paycheck to paycheck people, the yearly option is bad for them, as that money would help them cover some of other utilities. One of the key reasons, why I didn't hop on gamepass loophole step. Anything can criple me, and I need the money to fix it.
Just this week, I had to pay $250 to fix the flex pipe in my car. You can get issues like these anytime, and you need the money to fix it.

If a game hits the service that you want to play, you can finish it in a month, and $18 is less than it costs to buy it then your math works If you only do it every other month or so. If you pay for 7 individual months in a single year then you would have been better off paying for a full year. Some people can't afford $120 all at once and I get that. But since these aren't new games we're talking about it probably makes sense to save up 20 bucks a month somewhere and wait 6 months to subscribe, then save back the money to pay for the next year. That's if effective money management is actually the goal.
Sony is definitely hoping to get most people signed up for a monthly subscription because it maximizes their recurring revenue. seems like such a waste to pay monthly. But if that's all someone can do then that's what they can do.

The schtick is getting old. You are literally telling someone to pay essentially double what they have to by going monthly, and circling back to remind everyone of a promo deal for GP (does it even still exist). If you want to argue about the value of the stack gold and covert deal (if it still exists) vs the annual price for + there are better threads for that.
PSA everyone - paying double is never the better deal.
