Ok, strange. I had downloaded Chains of Olympus on my PS3 awhile back in anticipation of transferring it over. When I connected my Vita, it still doesn't seem to recognize the application? I ended up just directly downloading it on the Vita, but is this the case for other people too?

It's on the list of games not currently supported. Wait another week or two for the the early and normal launches respectively and hope for the best.

i thought ghost of sparta was the one that wasn't supported. does the post you quote not say he downloaded it onto his vita?

Wait - it is supported. I mean, I'm playing it on my Vita. The question is why it doesn't seem to be able to transfer from the PS3; you can definitely download it straight to the Vita.

Huh, got them confused, sorry about that. Well, guess I won't bother pre-loading any PSP games I want to play then.

Now that the US store is up, can someone explain how exactly we can transfer games from the JP store and the US store? Do we have to erase the memory card when we do? Or do we just have to reconnect and transfer some game to transfer the license (like it was on the PSP).

Man, I can't wait for next week. I really hope this is not a total failure.

It's all good- this whole thing is kind of confusing actually! Pre-loading is really useful if it would work though- it'd be nice to have space on the memory card to just delete certain games, replace them with others and keep the game itself on the PS3 as to not download again it if you're running tight on space on the Vita itself. Hopefully this will work out!

At the very least you have to reset the system itself, not simply activate/deactivate it. So even if a memory card reformat isn't necessary it'll still be more of a pain than on PSP.

Well, I also believe you need a separate memory card, so there's that.

Did they improve the downloading over the PSP's ability? Like if you get an error halfway downloading, will it resume, as opposed to making you start over?

Why am I not seeing anything Vita in the store? I must be missing something? Sorry, I'm stupid. :(

On the PS3, you have to search to find the Vita stuff. On the Vita, the Store finally works for NA accounts so you can download directly.

I remember getting an error on a download in my first few days that forced me to redownload, but I just got an error a few minutes ago while redownloading a PSP game and it resumed from where it left off just fine. I guess it depends?

Its because you pre-downloaded it, before there was a vita-support for the version.

Now, since the vita-store is up, you can download it also with ps3 and transfer it to vita.
But i'll disappear from the ps3 then. Its really a transfer, not a "copy".

Ahh, I see. One week to go!

Thanks! Sometimes is better than never.

It's also got 802.11g/n support rather than just 802.11b, so I imagine it'll download faster with enough bandwidth available.

Looking at the 3G/WiFi bundle, and the FEB, I don't really know what all the fuss is about concerning who is getting what.

Not including the AT&T data plan, purchasers of either end up paying the same amount for their Vitas.

Here:

3G/WiFi = $299, and includes an 8gig memory card. Subtracting the cost of the card ($30), the Vita unit itself is costing the purchaser $270.

FEB = $349, and includes a 4gig memory card, Little Deviants, and case. Subtracting the cost of the card ($20), Little Deviants ($29.99), and the case ($29.99), the Vita unit itself is costing the purchaser $270.

None of the bundles seems particularly awesome, but they both serve to get the job done. The AT&T and free PSN game voucher are certainly nice inclusions to both packages, however.

Bad news, for me, however. I tried to change my Uncharted Vita pre-order from release date to standard (I'm not getting my unit until the 22nd, so I don't really care to get the game on the 15th, and then stare at a box for a week), but unfortunately, since my Uncharted and Vita orders were pre-ordered together, it ended up changing my Vita order from release date delivery to standard. I wrote Amazon, and the best they could do was one day shipping, so I won't be getting my Vita on the 22nd, but instead the 24th. :( I am certainly bummed about it. Fingers crossed that they at least ship it to me by the 23rd, and maybe I'll luck out and get it the 22nd. It's happened before on orders that I thought wouldn't arrive on release date since I didn't pay for release date shipping, and yet I actually got it on release day.

For me the fuss was how they devalued the First Edition Bundle just weeks before launch. It used to be $370 worth of goods plus a week early for $350, now you get $340 worth of goods for $350. You pay more for the value of the goods to get it a week early. On top of that you're with 4GB less, and stuck with Little Deviants which I don't think is even worth $30. I was all in on the First Edition Bundle until this happened. I'll wait a week, not overpay and get a better overall bang for my buck.

You can't play games from jp store on us account. No way around it.

If your question is how to switch between account, you just need to do system restore. No need to format memory card. All games inside your memory card will be listed, but you can only play games from the account tied to your vita at the time. Other games bought frodifferent account will get message notifying it's no registered to the same vita account.

Man I didn't realize how good Hot Shots Golf looked until I looked back at the PSP version.

Damn now I want a Vita again.

That comparison actually makes the Vita game look so much more boring imo. The PSP screen you picked has so much more personality and charm to everything. The background, the character, the colors, even the interface. The Vita screen in comparison looks like some generic boring golf game with a school girl character.

I'm probably grasping at straws here but what about this two user sharing thing? What if you download from the store with one account then transfer to the Vita with your primary account? Still no dice?

Agree. I loved the charm of HSG on PSP. It looks way more sterile in that screen.

Second shot looks like a replay though that is all, no HUD to compare. Probably a media/promotion shot.

Oh boy, it's got the PS3 controls. Meter fo lyfe.

Also: Can Vita games get patches? Ex: wipEout 2048 loading times.

oh shit. does anyone know if you can use the old school 3 click meter? on the ps3 you can use the new way or the old way. never thought that this one might not have the "classic" meter system.

I think they went too much of a realistic approach with cartoon characters. It might've been interesting if they went the other way with their approach and went with more animated environments. It just looks kind of lifeless if you know what I mean.

found an import review of hsg that states either system can be used. so the old meter system is in. whew! thought i would have to cancel my preorder.

anyway, that second shot is definitely a replay with most of the hud gone. and i don't care, it looks great to me. not to mention, hsg isn't really about the visuals. it doesn't hurt but at the end of the day it's still hsg.

There are 5 shot types in HSG, three of which you can unlock. You start with the traditional three press swing and another one which I haven't even looked at because seriously, why use anything else?

The HSG series depreciates very rapidly due to lots of sequential releases, so unless you're planning on quickly reselling it, DD could be a good way to go
